Univision Ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-Language Network During Primetime for the Seventh Consecutive Week Among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49

Univision Aired the No. 1 Spanish-Language Programs in Both Weeknight 8pm and 9pm Hours

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of December 18, 2017 to December 24, 2017

For the seventh consecutive week, Univision ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-language network during primetime, out-delivering its closest competitor by double-digit audience advantages among Total Viewers 2+ (+42% adv.) and Adults 18-49 (+32% adv.) as well as for the sixth consecutive week among Adults 18-34 (+24% adv.).

Univision also finished the week as the fifth largest broadcast network overall with Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on six out of seven nights this past week among Adults 18-34 and five out of seven nights with Adults 18-49.

Univision captured the No. 1 Spanish-language network ranking in the weeknight 8pm and 9pm hour, surpassing its closest competitor by double-digit margins.

  • In its second week since premiere, “Rey David” helped Univision rank as the No. 4 Broadcast network overall, beating FOX with both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
    • “Rey David” delivered 1.7 million Total Viewers 2+, 713,000 Adults 18-49 and 274,000 Adults 18-34.
    • “Rey David” positioned Univision as the No. 1 Spanish-language network in the hour with substantial advantages over its closest Spanish-language competitor with Total Viewers 2+ (+59%), Adults 18-49 (+69%) and Adults 18-34 (+60%).
  • Univision maintained its No. 4 rank in the weekday 9pm hour among Adults 18-49 and rose to No. 3 with Adults 18-34, beating FOX in both demographics. Univision was also the No. 1 Spanish-language network in the hour, outperforming its closest competitor by +65% among both Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49 and by +85% with Adults 18-34.
    • The 9pm dramedy “Mi Marido Tiene Familia” (My Husband Has a Family) averaged 1.6 million Total Viewers 2+, 692,000 Adults 18-49 and 320,000 Adults 18-34

Kicking off the holiday weekend with back-to-back Christmas specials on Saturday night, Univision out-delivered FOX with Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

  • Univision’s 8pm Christmas Special, “Navidad desde Nueva York” (Christmas from New York) attracted 1.0 Million Total Viewers 2+, 376,000 Adults 18-49 and 109,000 Adults 18-34.
  • Following at 10pm a special Noticiero Univision, “El Visitante Esperado” (The Expected Visitor) grew its Adults 18-34 (+11% to 121,000) audience over its lead-in and averaged 821,000 Total Viewers 2+ and 306,000 Adults 18-49.

Univision was the top Spanish-language network pick on Sunday night, attracting more Total Viewers 2+ (+84% to 773,000), Adults 18-49 (+71% to 322,000) and Adults 18-34 (+32% to 124,000) than its competitor.
