The Cable Network is also the Spanish-Language Entertainment Daypart Leader Among Adults 18-49

NEW YORK – SEPTEMBER 29, 2017 – Galavisión’s variety of family-first content has established Univision Communications Inc.’s Spanish-language cable network as the No. 1 entertainment destination among Adults 18-49, regardless of language, for the twenty-first consecutive season. During the 2016/2017 broadcasting season, Galavisión also led among millennials and Adults 18-49 across all dayparts, beating cable entertainment networks Discovery en Español, Discovery Familia, and Universo. With a median age of 36, Galavisión delivers the youngest audience in Spanish-language cable primetime (7 p.m. to 11 p.m.), including broadcast networks, Azteca America and Estrella TV. Galavisión family first programming delivered more Adult 18-34 viewers across all dayparts than any other Spanish-language cable entertainment network.

“Galavisión offers audiences diversified programming that is at the center of family viewing time in Hispanic American homes. These results cement our commitment to delivering high quality and compelling content—from comedies and movies to socio-dramas—that viewers across all ages love to watch together,” said Lourdes Diaz, president of Entertainment, UCI.

Galavisión’s summer daytime lineup – ¡Galaverano! – featuring adolescent and kid-themed programming, positioned the network as No. 1 among Hispanics Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Total Viewers 2+, outperforming its closest Spanish-language entertainment cable network competitors.

Beginning October 2017, Galavisión will bring viewers tricks and treats with their fall special “Galaween,” airing new episodes of their top-rated comedy shows “Vecinos” on October 1, and “Nosotros los Guapos” on October 3.
