July Sweep-To-Date, UniMás is Registering Double-Digit Gains Among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34

Driven by Copa Oro 2017, UniMás Finished as the No. 2 Broadcast Network on Wednesday Night Among Adults 18-34, No. 3 Among Adults 18-49, and Sixth with Total Viewers 2+

Week of July 17, 2017 to July 23, 2017

July Sweep to-date, UniMás enjoying double-digit audience gains versus the same period in 2016 among Total Viewers 2+ (+28% to 580,000), Adults 18-49 (+29% to 283,000) and Adults 18-34 (+30% to 117,000).

Last week, UniMás averaged 637,000 Total Viewers 2+, 317,000 Adults 18-49 and 135,000 Adults 18-34 during prime.

  • The network registered more viewers compared to the corresponding week in 2016 among Total Viewers 2+ (+35%), Adults 18-49 (+38%) and Adults 18-34 (+48%).

Week-to-week, UniMás’ weekday 8pm series “Totalmente Diva” (Totally Diva) reported more Total Viewers 2+ (+18% to 435,000), Adults 18-49 (+16% to 204,000) and Adults 18-34 (+7% to 79,000).

Wednesday night’s “Copa Oro 2017 USA vs. El Salvador” quarterfinal match (8:45-11:11pm) averaged 1.6 Million Total Viewers 2+, 905,000 Adults 18-49 and 464,000 Adults 18-34, and drove UniMás to finish within the Top 3 broadcast networks on this night among Adults 18-34 (No. 2) and Adults 18-49 (No. 3), and ranked sixth with Total Viewers 2+.

On Saturday night with a lineup that consisted of two soccer matches, UniMás delivered considerably more Total Viewers 2+ (+19% to 626,000), Adults 18-49 (+41% to 313,000) and Adults 18-34 (+64% to 133,000) compared to the previous Saturday night.

  • Airing 7:55-9:54pm, “Liga MX” match between Leon and Atlas delivered 413,000 Total Viewers 2+, 208,000 Adults 18-49 and 87,000 Adults 18-34.
  • Following from 9:54pm to 12:19am, “Copa Oro 2017” semi-final match between Costa Rica and USA averaged 1.1 million Total Viewers 2+, 557,000 Adults 18-49 and 235,000 Adults 18-34.

On Sunday night, UniMás posted significant audience gains among Total Viewers 2+ (+48% to 791,000), Adults 18-49 (+41% to 348,000) and increased by +3% with Adults 18-34 (117,000) over the prior Sunday thanks to its lineup which consisted of back-to-back movies “Cineplex: Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian” and “Cine de las Estrellas: The Karate Kid.”

With a median age of 39 years old, UniMás attracted the youngest audience of any broadcast network while it also averaged more viewers during broadcast prime than the combined audience of Azteca and Estrella TV among Total Viewers 2+ (+137% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+202% adv.) and young Adults 18-34 (+238% adv.).
