UniMás Beat Telemundo by Double-Digit Margins on Sunday Night with Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34

Network Posted Double-Digit Growth, Year-Over-Year and Week-Over-Week in These Key Demos, While Attracting More Viewers Than the Combined Audience of Estrella TV and Azteca

Week of June 26, 2017 to July 2, 2017

Last week, UniMás averaged 530,000 Total Viewers 2+, 261,000 Adults 18-49 and 107,000 Adults 18-34 during broadcast prime. The network enjoyed double-digit audience gains versus the previous week as well as versus the year prior among key demographics.

  • Versus previous week (06/19/17-06/25/17): Total Viewers 2+ (+41%), Adults 18-49 (+51%) and Adults 18-34 (+65%).
  • Versus year prior (06/27/16-07/03/16): Total Viewers 2+ (+36%), Adults 18-49 (+40%) and Adults 18-34 (+41%).

On Wednesday night, UniMás aired the international friendly soccer match “Mexico vs. Ghana” (8:45-11:03pm), which averaged 1.3 Million Total Viewers 2+, 695,000 Adults 18-49 and 305,000 Adults 18-34. The network ranked within the Top 10 broadcast networks on this night among Adults 18-34 (No. 6), Adults 18-49 (No. 7) and Total Viewers 2+ (No. 8).

The dramatic series “Los Mosqueteros,” enjoyed audience gains compared to the previous Saturday among Adults 18-34 (+18% to 53,000).

On Sunday night, UniMás aired back-to-back “Cine de las Estrellas” movies, “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” (7-9pm) and “Knight and Day” (9-11pm), which led the network to rank as the No. 2 Spanish-language network for the night beating Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+20% adv.; 930,000 vs. 774,000), Adults 18-49 (+21% adv.; 468,000 vs. 388,000) and Adults 18-34 (+29% adv., 184,000 vs. 143,000). In fact, on this night, UniMás ranked within the Top 5 broadcast networks among Adults 18-49 (fifth) and Adults 18-34 (fifth), and finished in seventh place with Total Viewers 2+.

  • The network reported significant audience gains among Total Viewers 2+ (+60%), Adults 18-49 (+67%) and Adults 18-34 (+79%) over the prior Sunday. Additionally, year-over-year, it attracted +27% more Total Viewers 2+, +36% more Adults 18-49 and +18% more Adults 18-34.

With a median age of 39 years old, UniMás attracted the youngest audience of any broadcast network while it also averaged more viewers during broadcast prime than the combined audience of Azteca and Estrella TV among Total Viewers 2+ (+72% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+98% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+102% adv.).
