Univision Doubles Audience of Closest Spanish-Language Competitor in Key Demos and Out-Delivers CBS, FOX and CW for the Entire Night Among Adults 18-34

NEW YORK – MAY 9, 2017 – With the grand finale of “Vino El Amor” and the premiere of “La Doble Vida de Estela Carrillo,” Univision finished as the No. 1 Spanish-language network on Monday night with double the audience of its closest competitor among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. Univision also out-delivered CBS, FOX and CW for the entire night among Adults 18-34.

During the 8 p.m. hour, the finale of “Vino el Amor” averaged 2.6 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.2 million Adults 18-49 and 521,000 Adults 18-34 while it also positioned Univision as the No. 1 Spanish-language network with double the audience of its closest competitor. The concluding episode of the Napa Valley love story also increased its audience in the second half-hour compared to the first half-hour by double-digit margins among Total Viewers 2+ (+12%), Adults 18-49 (+15%) and Adults 18-34 (+24%).

The highly anticipated premiere of “La Doble Vida de Estela Carrillo” reached 4.9 million Total Viewers 2+ who tuned in to all or part of the one-hour simulcast airing on Univision and UniMás. The modern-day original story from acclaimed producer Rosy Ocampo averaged 3.0 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.5million Adults 18-49 and 619,000 Adults 18-34 during its simulcast debut.

ADDITIONAL NETWORK HIGHLIGHTS

On Univision, the one-hour premiere of “La Doble Vida de Estela Carrillo”:

  • Reached 4.3 million Total Viewers 2+ who tuned in to all or part of the one-hour premiere.
  • Averaged 2.5 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.2 million Adults 18-49 and 515,000 Adults 18-34.
  • Made Univision the No. 3 broadcast network, ahead of CBS, FOX and CW among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
  • Positioned Univision as the No. 1 Spanish-language Network during the 9 p.m. hour with triple the audience of its closest competitor among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
  • Was the fourth most-watched program on broadcast television with more Adult 18-34 viewers than the entire original lineups on CBS (“Kevin Can Wait,” “Man with a Plan,” “Superior Donuts,” “The Great Indoors” and “Scorpion;” FOX (“Gotham” and “Lucifer”) and CW (“Supergirl” and “Jane the Virgin”) as well as the first-run episodes of ABC’s “Quantico” and NBC’s “The Wall.”
  • Outperformed the original airings of ABC’s “Quantico,” CBS’ “Superior Donuts” and “The Great Indoors,” FOX’s “Lucifer” as well as the entire original lineup on the CW (“Supergirl” and “Jane the Virgin”) among Adults 18-49.
