Hosted by Comedian Grace Parra, “¡Salud! Yes, Please!” will air Sunday, April 30 at 5 p.m. ET/PT (4 p.m. CT) on Univision Network
WHAT: ¡Salud! Yes, Please! is a satirical documentary that follows Latina comedian Grace Parra, as she embarks on a journey across the state of California in the middle of a national debate about the future of healthcare.
Along the way, Parra, whose own mother is a two-time cancer survivor, meets with lawmakers, community leaders and health advocates to talk about the current state of healthcare and learn more about what’s at stake for the Latino community.
¡Salud! Yes, Please! looks closely at an important and challenging topic – the impact of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Medicaid expansion and what lies ahead – with a dose of humor.
Among those interviewed in the documentary are House of Representatives Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D), the president of Children’s Partnership, Mayra Alvarez, U.S. Congressman Tom McClintock (R) and United Farm Workers co-founder and Dolores Huerta Foundation founder Dolores Huerta.
This documentary was produced with the collaboration and support of The California Endowment. Other partners include Clinica Sierra Vista and The Common Wealth Fund.

QUÉ: ¡Salud! Yes, Please! es un documental satírico que le sigue los pasos a la comediante latina Grace Parra, quien emprende un viaje por todo el estado de California en medio del debate nacional sobre el futuro de la atención de salud.
En el trayecto, Parra, cuya madre ha sobrevivido dos batallas contra el cáncer, se reúne con legisladores, líderes comunitarios y promotores de la salud para hablar sobre el estado actual del sistema de salud y conocer a fondo lo que está en juego para la comunidad latina.
