Univision Has Outperformed FOX in the Last Eight Consecutive Saturday Nights Among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34

Season-To-Date, Univision Ranks as the No. 1 Spanish-Language Network in Primetime Among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34

Week of March 27, 2017 to April 2, 2017

  • For the second consecutive week, Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-Language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on five out of seven nights among Adults 18-34.
  • Featuring the semi-final rounds of the competition, Univision’s “Pequeños Gigantes USA” (Little Giants USA) attracted 1.6 million Total Viewers 2+, 665,000 Adults 18-49 and 285,000 Adults 18-34 while also positioned it as the No. 1 Spanish-language network during the Monday to Thursday 8pm to 9pm time slot with double-digit advantages over its closest competitor in both the key 18 to 49 (+16% adv.) and 18 to 34 (+21% adv.) demographics.
  • Univision’s “Vino El Amor” (Then Came Love) delivered 2.0 million Total Viewers 2+ and made it the fifth most-watched broadcast network in the weeknight 9pm hour, out-delivering its closest Spanish-language network competitor by +15% among Adults 18-49 (849,000) and +16% among Adults 18-34 (362,000). The telenovela also outperformed the first-run episodes of such English-language drama series as ABC’s “Designated Survivor,” “Quantico” and “The Catch;” CBS’ “Criminal Minds: Beyond Border;” NBC’s “Blacklist: Redemption,” “Blindspot,” “Grim” and “Taken;” FOX’s “24: Legacy,” “Rosewood” and Sleepy Hollow” as well as CW’s “Arrow,” “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” “Jane the Virgin,” “Originals,” “Reign,” “Riverdale,” “Supergirl,” “Supernatural” and “The Hundred” among Adults 18-34.
  • Univision captured the No. 3 broadcast network ranking, ahead of ABC and CBS during the weeknight 10pm to 11pm time slot among Adults 18-34 with “La Piloto” (The Pilot), which averaged 1.7 million Total Viewers 2+, 777,000 Adults 18-49 and 350,000 Adults 18-34.
  • Friday night’s one-hour premiere of “Nosotros Los Guapos” on Univision drew in 1.3 million Total Viewers 2+ and 618,000 Adult 18-49 while also outperformed the entire original lineups on FOX (“Rosewood” and “Sleepy Hollow”) and CW (“Originals” and “Reign”) among Adults 18-34 (275,000).
  • On Saturday night, Univision delivered more Adult 18-34 (+29% adv.) and Adult 18-49 (+6% adv.) viewers than FOX for the entire night, marking the eighth consecutive Saturday night that it outperformed FOX across both demographics.
  • Univision’s “Aquí y Ahora” (Here and Now) averaged more Adult 18-49 (617,000 vs. 481,000; +28% adv.) and Adult 18-34 (178,000 vs. 161,000; +11% adv.) viewers than the original airing of ABC’s “American Crime” and made it the No. 3 broadcast network in the 10pm hour across these two demographics for the second consecutive Sunday.
  • In the current 2016/2017 season, Univision continues to be the No. 1 Spanish-language network as well as the fifth most-watched broadcast network during primetime among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
