Univision’s Highly Anticipated Premiere of “Pequeños Gigantes USA” (Little Giants USA) Reaches 4.2 Million Total Viewers 2+. Univision Network Out-Delivers CBS, NBC and CW During the Talent Competition Debut Among Adults 18-34.

NEW YORK – FEBRUARY 7, 2017

Univision Network’s premiere of the talent competition for aspiring young entertainers reached 4.2 million Total Viewers 2+ who tuned in to all or part of the one-hour broadcast. Additionally, “Pequeños Gigantes USA” averaged 2.4 million Total Viewers 2+, nearly 1.0 million Adults 18-49, 458,000 Adults 18-34 and 590,000 Persons 12-34. The premiere of “Pequeños Gigantes USA” made Univision the No. 3 broadcast network, out-delivering CBS, NBC and CW among Adults 18-34 and Persons 12-34.

“Our strategy to broadcast content that is geared to multigenerational co-viewing in the home is key to the success of ‘Pequeños Gigantes USA,’” said Lourdes Diaz, president of Entertainment.

“Univision continues to be committed to delivering programming that caters to our audience, and these premiere results reflect the high-quality and engaging content that our viewers have come to expect from us.”

ADDITIONAL NETWORK HIGHLIGHTS

The premiere of “Pequeños Gigantes USA” on Univision:

  • Was the sixth most-watched program on broadcast television with more Adult 18-34 viewers than the entire original lineups on NBC (“The New Celebrity Apprentice” and “Timeless”) and CW (“Supergirl” and “Jane the Virgin”) as well as first-run episodes of ABC’s “Quantico” and CBS’ “Kevin Can Wait,” “Man With a Plan,” “Superior Donuts” and “2 Broke Girls.”
  • Delivered more Adults 18-49 than the first-run episodes of ABC’s “Quantico,” NBC’s “Timeless” and the entire original line-up on CW (“Supergirl” and “Jane the Virgin”).
  • Increased its audience in the last half-hour compared to the first half-hour among Total Viewers 2+ Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Persons 12-34.
  • Positioned Univision as the No. 4 broadcast network, ahead of NBC and CW for the entire night with Adults 18-34 and Persons 12-34 as well as the fifth largest broadcast network, out-delivering CW among Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers 2+.
  • Drew in more Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Persons 12-34 to the network’s 8:00 p.m. hour compared to the prior four Mondays as well as the same night last year.
