WHAT: Building on its commitment to expand coverage of eSports, Univision Deportes announces special coverage of the Madden NFL 17 Championship series, bringing the Madden Bowl finals to ultimate fans. The Madden Bowl is the second match in the series and features the top 16 competitors live from Houston, TX at the NFL Experience inside the George R. Brown Convention Center.
The competition will be livestreamed on UnivisionDeportes.com on Friday, February 3 at 5:00 p.m. EST and will be broadcast on Univision Deportes Network on Monday, February 6, at 9:00 p.m. EST with a play-by-play and commentary from expert team of sports journalists including Rodolfo Landeros, Ramses Sandoval and Iliana Jimenez. Univision Deportes will stream the finals on the app and responsive site in English. Univision Deportes will produce a 60-minute Finals show with exclusive content broadcasted on Monday.
The Madden Bowl Finals are held in the backyard of Super Bowl 51 and top players face off for their chance to win $250,000 and advance to the championship event. The championship features the best players in the world competing for their share of $150,000.
The Madden Classic qualifiers started back in August with 1.5 million competitors on two separate tournament tracks leading to the Live Finals, one for Xbox One and one for PlayStation®4. Players competed in Online Head to Head, Draft Champions, or MUT Salary Cap games.
