UniMás Finishes 2016 with the Highest Adults 18-34 Audience Composition of any Broadcast Network, Regardless of Language, During Primetime and Total Day

NEW YORK – JANUARY 10, 2017 – Univision Communications Inc., the leading media company serving Hispanic America, today announced that for the full year of 2016, UniMás attracted the youngest audience, of any broadcast network, regardless of language, with a median age of 39 during broadcast prime and total day. The network also delivered a higher percentage of live Adults 18-49 viewers during primetime than current competitor, Telemundo.

“Through UniMás’ bold lineup of drama, movies, sports, comedy and action, we are fulfilling our goal of engaging the Hispanic millennial audience by having the highest Adults 18-34 audience composition among all broadcast networks, regardless of language during primetime and total day, in 2016,” said Lourdes Diaz, president of Entertainment. “Our strategy to deliver high-quality programming to our audiences continues to be our mission and focal point throughout 2017.”

In 2016, UniMás ranked as the No. 2 Spanish-language network during weekend daytime beating Telemundo among Adults 18-49 as well as during Saturday prime among Men 18-49. Additionally, UniMás also delivered more Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 than the combined audience of Azteca, Estrella TV and MundoMax across seven out of the eight key dayparts in 2016.
