Univision Finished the Week as the No. 4 Network with Adults 18-49, Beating FOX

Week of December 19, 2016 to December 25, 2016

Univision was the No. 2 Broadcast Network this week among young Adults 18-34, out-delivering CBS (+46%), FOX (+31%) and ABC (+10%) by double-digit margins.

Univision finished the week as the No. 4 broadcast network among Adults 18-49, beating FOX by (+11%).

Univision increased its audience week-to-week, averaging 1.9 Million Total Viewers 2+ (+14%), 924,000 Adults 18-49 (+29%) and 435,000 young Adults 18-34 (+31%).

Univision out-delivered three or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on six of the seven nights this week among young Adults 18-34. Univision also out-delivered FOX on six nights among Adults 18-49.

On Monday night, Univision ranked as the No. 2 Broadcast network among young Adults 18-34. Univision also clinched the No. 4 network position among Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers 2+.

  • Univision’s entire prime novela lineup ranked among the top 10 programs for the night among young Adults 18-34 (#9) and top 15 with Adults 18-49 (#13) and Total Viewers 2+ (#12).
  • Univision also out-delivered FOX across key demographics including Total Viewers 2+ (+30%), Adults 18-49 (+67%) and more than double the young Adults 18-34 viewers (+154%).
  • This marks the third consecutive Monday night that Univision attracted more young Adults 18-34 than ABC (+17%).
  • This is also the second consecutive Monday that Univision ranked as the No. 4 network among Total Viewers 2+.

Univision was the No. 2 Broadcast network on Tuesday night, out-delivering NBC (+17%), FOX (+42%) and CBS (+48%) by double-digit margins among young Adults 18-34.

  • Univision also held the No. 4 position with Adults 18-49 beating FOX by (+16%).
  • Univision averaged more Total Viewers 2+ than FOX (+20%) to rank as the No. 4 network for the night.

Univision maintained its No. 2 Broadcast network rank on Wednesday night, out-delivering ABC (+37%), NBC (+31%) and FOX (+10%) among young Adults 18-34.

On Thursday night Univision solidified its No. 2 Broadcast network rank with young Adults 18-34, out-delivering ABC (+24%), CBS (+43%) and FOX (+63%).

  • Univision was the No. 4 Broadcast network among Adults 18-49 and for the second consecutive Thursday night among Total Viewers 2+, beating FOX by (+44%) and (+4%) respectively.

Airing its prime novela lineup, Univision was the No. 1 broadcast network on Friday night with young Adults 18-34 and ranked No. 4 with Adults 18-49.

Airing Mon-Wed, Fri this week…

  • Univision’s 8pm novela, “Despertar Contigo” (Waking Up With You) averaged 1.6 Million Total Viewers 2+, 668,000 Adults 18-49 and 339,000 young Adults 18-34 audience.
  • Helped Univision rank above FOX as the No. 4 broadcast network among young Adults 18-34 during the Mon-Fri 8pm hour.
  • Following at 9pm “Vino el Amor” (Then Came Love) attracted 2.1 million Total Viewers 2+ (+2%), 895,000 Adults 18-49 (+1%) and 437,000 young Adults 18-34 (+4%).
  • Helped Univision rank above FOX as the No. 2 broadcast network with young Adults 18-34 and No. 4 broadcast network with Adults 18-49 during the Mon-Fri 9pm hour.
  • Airing at 10pm, “El Color de la Pasión” (The Color of Passion) averaged 2.0 Million Total Viewers 2+ (+2%), 897,000 Adults 18-49 (+2%) and 418,000 young Adults 18-34 (+5%).
  • Solidified Univision as the No. 3 broadcast network for the second consecutive week among young Adults 18-34 during the Mon-Fri 10pm hour, besting ABC (+61%) and CBS (+33%).

On Sunday night, Univision was the No. 2 broadcast network among both Adults 18-49 and young Adults 18-34, beating ABC, CBS and FOX in both demographics.

  • Univision kicked off the night with the final match of the Liga Mexicana season between Tigres and América. The live soccer match averaged 3.1 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.8 Million Adults 18-49 and 801,000 young Adults 18-34.
  • Ranked as the No. 3 program for the night among Adults 18-49 and No. 4 program with young Adults 18-34.
  • Following at 10:30pm Univision’s Gran Estreno movie, “Pastorela,” attracted 1.1 Million Total Viewers 2+, 662,000 Adults 18-49 and 281,000 young Adults 18-34.
