MIAMI, FL – OCTOBER 25, 2016 – Global entertainment personalities will come together on the nation’s No. 1 Spanish-language TV network on December 2 and 3 in Miami and Los Angeles for year five of TeletonUSA’s annual mega-fundraiser for children with disabilities. Some of the biggest names in Latin music and show business have already confirmed participation in support of “Nuestra Causa” (Our Cause), which is this year TeletonUSA’s theme. Hosts and performers will ask every viewer to share their hearts and join them in helping children with disabilities, empowering them to live their lives to the fullest potential.
Stars who will take part in the annual fundraising on behalf of children with neurological and musculoskeletal disorders, include multitalented actor and comedian, Eugenio Derbez, singer and songwriter Gloria Estefan, actress and singer Thalía, Italian pop star Laura Pausini, and American singing sensation Leslie Grace. They will be joined by regional Mexican legends Larry Hernández, Chiquis and Luis Coronel. Dodgers baseball player Adrian Gonzalez and renowned Mexican soccer player, Giovanni Dos Santos are among the sport stars that will participate in this year’s fundraising. A highlight of the event will be the return to the TeletonUSA stage of young Adrián Martín Vega, whose hydrocephalus has not stopped him from becoming a social media sensation and delighting audiences with his beautiful voice. Many more artists are expected to confirm their participation over the coming weeks.
The list of TeletonUSA emcees includes many of Univision Network’s biggest on-air personalities. In addition to sharing hosting duties, Galilea Montijo will introduce this year’s edition of TeletonUSA and its “Nuestra Causa” theme in a publicity spot. Additional hosts include Alan Tacher, Karla Martínez, Ana Patricia Gámez and Johnny Lozada from “Despierta América” (Wake Up America); “La Banda” host Alejandra Espinoza; “Primer Impacto” (First Impact) anchor Pamela Silva Conde; “Sal y Pimienta” (Salt and Pepper) celebrity Lourdes Stephen and many others.
Our cause “Nuestra Causa” is to help in the improvement of life for children with disabilities through raising awareness and funds for the Children’s Rehabilitation Institute of TeletonUSA (CRIT USA). Since the day the San Antonio-based institute opened in 2014, its mission has been to serve “children and families with neurological, muscular and skeletal disabilities through integrated and state-of-the-art rehabilitation that empowers patients to reach their full potential.” It accepts patients regardless of their ability to pay, which makes the funds raised by TeletonUSA ($15.7 million in 2015) especially critical to its mission.

Algunos de los artistas más renombrados de la música y entretenimiento latino han confirmado su participación para apoyar “Nuestra Causa”, el tema de TeletónUSA de este año. Los conductores y artistas le pedirán a cada televidente que abra su corazón y se sume a ellos a fin de ayudar a los niños con discapacidades y empoderarlos para que alcancen su máximo potencial en la vida.
Entre las estrellas que se unen a la causa en favor de los niños con trastornos neurológicos y musculoesqueléticos están el actor y cómico de múltiples talentos Eugenio Derbez, la cantautora Gloria Estefan, la actriz y cantante Thalía, la estrella italiana de la música pop Laura Pausini y la sensacional cantante estadounidense Leslie Grace.
