NEW YORK – SEPTEMBER 6, 2016 – Univision News, the award-winning news division of Univision Communications, Inc. (UCI), the leading media company serving Hispanic America, is the official media partner of the “Latino Impact Summit,” an event that gathers distinguished figures from Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic community to discuss issues of relevance to Latinos both here and throughout the region. The one-day summit will take place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City on September 8, 2016 during the annual UN General Assembly meetings.
The Latino Impact Summit 2016 will present Spanish-language discussions on a variety of topics, including the expanding role of Latin American women in business, the progress of Cuban-American relations, how businesses and individuals are helping Latin America’s neediest, the region’s justice and prison systems, the future of immigration in the U.S., and the stories of successful millennials and generation Xers who have made significant contributions to their communities, among others. The summit will be chaired by the renowned motivational speaker, bestselling author and TV host Ismael Cala, who is one of the principal sponsors of the event through the Ismael Cala Foundation, along with Sergio Fernández de Córdova, founder and chairman of the PVBLIC Foundation. The sessions will be attended by influential leaders from across the Americas.
