UniMás Beat Telemundo for the Entire Week Among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Young Adults 18-34

 UniMás Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of June 6, 2016 to June 12, 2016

  • UniMás finished the week as the No. 5 broadcast network, out-delivering FOX and CW with both Adults 18-49 and young Adults 18-34.
  • UniMás ranked as the No. 2 Spanish-language network for the entire week, beating Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+8%), Adults 18-49 (+24%) and young Adults 18-34 (+24%).
  • UniMás’ coverage of Copa America Centenario soccer matches strengthened the network’s weekly prime ratings, with matches averaging 1.9 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.1 million Adults 18-49 and 473,000 young Adults 18-34 this past week. In fact, UniMás out-delivered Telemundo on six out of seven nights last week with Adults 18-49 and young Adults 18-34.
    • On Monday night, UniMás ranked as the No. 2 Spanish-language network, surpassing Telemundo by double-digit percentage margins among Total Viewers 2+ (+29%, 2.0 million), Adults 18-49 (+55%, 1.2 million) and young Adults 18-34 (+46%, 470,000).  Driving the night’s performance were back-to-back live soccer matches, beginning at 6:30pm with Panama vs Bolivia and followed by Argentina vs Chile.
      • The 6:30pm soccer match lead to a 2-1 Panama win and attracted 1.1 million Total Viewers 2+, 596,000 Adults 18-49 and 227,000 young Adults 18-34.
      • Argentina also bested Chile 2-1 and delivered 2.8 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.6 million Adults 18-49 and 709,000 young Adults 18-34.
    • Tuesday night, UniMás maintained its advantage over Telemundo as the No. 2 Spanish-language network with Total Viewers 2+ (+18%, 1.9 million), Adults 18-49 (+24%, 1.0 million) and young Adults 18-34 (+30%, 486,000).
      • At 7:30pm, 2.2 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.2 million Adults 18-49 and 567,000 young Adults 18-34 watched as USA shut-out Costa Rica 4-0.
    • Wednesday marked the third consecutive night that UniMás was the No. 2 Spanish-language network over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+46%, 2.1 million), Adults 18-49 (+65%, 1.1 Million) and young Adults 18-34 (+71%, 549,000).
      • Kicking off the night with Brazil vs Haiti at 7pm, UniMás attracted 1.7 million Total Viewers 2+, 874,000 Adults 18-49 and 424,000 young Adults 18-34.
      • Building on its lead-in soccer match, the 9:30pm tie finish between Ecuador and Peru averaged 2.2 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.3 million Adults 18-49 and 607,000 young Adults 18-34.
    • On Thursday night, UniMás ranked as the No. 2 Spanish-language network over Telemundo with both Adults 18-49 (+10%, 803,000) and young Adults 18-34 (+18%, 382,000).
      • Contributing to the network ratings was the 7pm Copa America match between Uruguay and Venezuela that attracted 1.9 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.0 million Adults 18-49 and 482,000 young Adults 18-34.
    • Friday night’s Copa America matches helped UniMás out-deliver Telemundo for the fifth consecutive night this week among Adults 18-49 (+59%) and young Adults 18-34 (+39%).  UniMás also beat Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+41%).
  • Airing its regularly scheduled back-to-back movie lineup on Saturday night, UniMás clinched the No. 2 Spanish-language rank, beating Telemundo for the sixth consecutive night among Adults 18-49 (+19%) and young Adults 18-34 (+4%).  This also marks the second consecutive Saturday night that UniMás has out-delivered Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+5%).
    • At 7pm the Cine Cantinflas movie presentation of “Una Día Con el Diablo” attracted 592,000 Total Viewers 2+, 236,000 Adults 18-49 and 90,000 young Adults 18-34.  Airing head-to-head with Telemundo’s “Qué Noche,” UniMás’ movie presentation reported double-digit percentage advantages over Telemundo among Adults 18-49 (+29%) and young Adults 18-34 (+11%).
    • Following at 9pm, the feature film “Border Run” built on its lead-in and delivered 707,000 Total Viewers 2+, 317,000 Adults 18-49 and 123,000 young Adults 18-34. The 9pm film out-delivered Telemundo’s movie in the time period by +4% among Total Viewers 2+ and +12% among Adults 18-49.
    • Season-to-date, UniMás ranks as the No. 2 Spanish-language network on Saturday nights with Total Viewers 2+ (+6%), Adults 18-49 (+16%) and young Adults 18-34 (+17%).  Furthermore, thus far in 2nd quarter, UniMás has out-ranked Telemundo on 9 out of 11 Saturday nights.
  • In the current 2015/16 Season, UniMás is over-delivering the same weeks in the 2014/15 Season with Total Viewers 2+ (+25%), Adults 18-49 (+19%) and young Adults 18-34 (+13%) during broadcast prime.
  • Versus the same week a year ago (06/08/15 – 06/14/15), UniMás more than tripled its viewership with Total Viewers 2+ (+210%), Adults 18-49 (+212%) and young Adults 18-34 (+200%).
  • UniMás, on average, delivered more than quadruple the Total Viewers 2+ (+339%), Adults 18-49 (+498%) and young Adults 18-34 (+505%) viewers than the combined audience of Estrella, Azteca and MundoMax.
