On Sunday, the Liga MX Final Reached Over 6.3 Million Total Viewers 2+, Helping Univision Rank No. 2 Among Young Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of May 23 to May 29, 2016

On Sunday, Univision ranked as the No. 2 broadcast network among young Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, outperforming ABC, CBS and NBC in both demographics.

  • Airing 7-8pm, “Aquí y Ahora” (Here and Now) averaged 973,000 Total Viewers 2+, 478,000 Adults 18-49 and 187,000 young Adults 18-34.
  • Airing 8-9pm, “Sal y Pimienta” (Salt and Pepper) averaged 1.1 million Total Viewers 2+, 506,000 Adults 18-49 and 187,000 young Adults 18-34.
  • Next, preceding the Liga MX final match, Fútbol Central averaged 1.2 million Total Viewers 2+, 613,000 Adults 18-49 and 253,000 young Adults 18-34.
  • Finally, simulcast on UDN, the second leg of the 2016 Clausura Liga MX final between Monterrey and Pachuca aired at 9:24 pm and averaged 2.6 million Total Viewers 2+ and 1.5 million Adults 18-49.
    • The match reached over 6.3 million Total Viewers 2+.
    • Viewership was highest for any Clausura final match on any network since the 2012-13 season.
  • Univision’s entire prime lineup ranked among the top 20 programs for the night with Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and young Adults 18-34.

Last week (M-SU), Univision ranked as the No. 3 broadcast network among young Adults 18-34, outperforming CBS and FOX.  Among young Adults 18-34, Univision saw week-to-week growth (+3%) and out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) every night.

Airing M-F 8pm, “Un Camino Hacia el Destino” (A Path to Destiny) averaged 1.9 million Total Viewers 2+, 791,000 Adults 18-49 and 351,000 young Adults 18-34.

Airing M-F 9-11pm, the premiere week of “Tres Veces Ana” (Three Times Ana) averaged 2.0 million Total Viewers 2+, 969,000 Adults 18-49 and 480,000 young Adults 18-34.

On Saturday, Univision ranked as the No. 2 broadcast network among young Adults 18-34, outperforming ABC, CBS and NBC.

  • At 8:09pm, “Rosa de Guadalupe” saw week-to-week growth among Adults 18-49 (+5% to 471,000) and young Adults 18-34 (+3% to 267,000).
  • Airing 9:09-10pm, “Sal y Pimienta” (Salt and Pepper) saw week-to-week growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+5% to 1.0 million), Adults 18-49 (+16% to 434,000) and young Adults 18-34 (+17% to 202,000).
  • Next, “Crónicas de Sábado” saw week-to-week growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+17% to 1.2 million), Adults 18-49 (+13% to 447,000) and young Adults 18-34 (+25% to 209,000).
  • Univision’s entire prime lineup ranked among the top 10 programs for the night with Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and young Adults 18-34.
