In Her First Assignment as a Univision Correspondent, the Dominican New Yorker Visited Navy Shipyard and Provided Complimentary Univision Now Subscriptions, Just in Time for the Summer’s Historic 100th Year Anniversary Edition of Copa America Centenario

NEW YORK – MAY 27, 2016 – In partnership with the United Service Organizations (USO), Univision Communications Inc. (UCI) enlisted newly-named “Nuestra Belleza Latina” (Our Latin Beauty) queen Clarissa Molina to join the welcoming festivities during Fleet Week, New York’s time-honored celebration of the sea services. As part of the welcoming, UCI provided the USO with complimentary Univision NOW subscriptions to be distributed to U.S. service members during Fleet Week. Univision NOW is UCI’s direct to consumer service delivering live streams of Univision and UniMás Networks.

Available on iOS, Android and web with a monthly or annual subscription fee, Univision NOW will stream live the historic 100th year anniversary edition of Copa America Centenario, the most highly anticipated sporting event of the year in the Americas, which kicks off on June 3 with a match between the U.S. and Colombia. The tournament will run through June 26th.
Originally from the Dominican Republic and representing New York in Univision’s popular reality beauty competition, Molina returned to her home state to greet the marines and film her first segment as an official “El Gordo y La Flaca” (The Scoop and the Skinny) correspondent, where she toured a shipyard and learned more about the duties of U.S. navy servicemen and women. Univision Network’s “Despierta America” (Wake up America) and “Sal y Pimienta” (Salt and Pepper) will also feature a Fleet Week piece with the new “Nuestra Belleza Latina” queen.
Molina was crowned during Sunday’s two-hour “Nuestra Belleza Latina” season 10 finale, which reached 5.1 million Total Viewers 2+ and had the No. 1 most socially-engaged prime-time audience across all broadcast networks regardless of language, outperforming the Billboard Music Awards.

(UCI) reclutó a la recién elegida reina de “Nuestra Belleza Latina”, Clarissa Molina, para que participara en las festividades de bienvenida de Fleet Week, la tradicional celebración en Nueva York de las fuerzas marítimas. Como parte de la bienvenida, UCI dio a USO suscripciones gratuitas a Univision NOW para que se distribuyan entre miembros de las fuerzas armadas de los Estados Unidos durante Fleet Week. Univision NOW es el servicio directo al consumidor de streaming en vivo de las cadenas Univision y UniMás de UCI.

Molina fue coronada el domingo durante el episodio final de dos horas de la décima temporada de “Nuestra Belleza Latina”, que fue sintonizado por 5.1 millones de Televidentes Totales de 2+ y tuvo la más numerosa audiencia activa en redes sociales entre cadenas de señal abierta en horario estelar, independientemente de idioma, con lo que superó a los Billboard Music Awards.
