NEW YORK, NY – MAY 11, 2016 – Univision Deportes, the multimedia sports division of Univision Communications Inc. (UCI), was honored on Wednesday by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) with a Sports Emmy® award for the second consecutive year. Univision Deportes won in the category of Outstanding Live Sports Coverage in Spanish for the 2015 CONCACAF Cup Mexico versus USA match.
“This Sports Emmy® award is recognition of the hard work and dedication of the Univision Deportes team and our continued efforts to deliver the best in class sports experience to fans who tune in to watch with us,” said Juan Carlos Rodriguez, president of Univision Deportes. “We will continue to deliver this award-winning level of coverage and are looking forward to the exciting start of the Copa America Centenario tournament in June.”
Univision Deportes won two Sports Emmy® awards in 2015, making this year’s recognition the third Sports Emmy® award in the company’s history.
The 37th Annual Sports Emmy® Awards were presented at a special ceremony on Wednesday at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall in New York City.

UNIVISION DEPORTES GANA PREMIO EMMY®® A LOS DEPORTES POR SEGUNDO AÑO CONSECUTIVO
NUEVA YORK, NY – 11 DE MAYO DE 2016 – Univision Deportes, la división deportiva multimedia de Univision Communications Inc. (UCI), recibió el miércoles un premio Emmy® a los deportes por segundo año consecutivo de la National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS). Univision Deportes ganó en la categoría de Cobertura deportiva sobresaliente en vivo y en español por el partido entre México y Estados Unidos de la Copa CONCACAF de 2015.
“Este premio Emmy® a los deportes reconoce el trabajo arduo y la dedicación del equipo de Univision Deportes, y nuestros esfuerzos continuos por ofrecer la mejor experiencia de su tipo a los fans que sintonizan para ver los partidos con nosotros”, dijo Juan Carlos Rodríguez, presidente de Univision Deportes. “Vamos a seguir ofreciendo este nivel de cobertura, el cual ha ganado varios premios, y estamos deseosos de que comience el emocionante torneo de la Copa América Centenario en junio.”
Univision Deportes ganó dos premios Emmy® a los deportes en el año 2015, o sea que el galardón de este año es el tercer Emmy® a los deportes de la historia de la compañía.
Se otorgaron los 37mos premios anuales Emmy® a los deportes durante una ceremonia especial el miércoles en el salón Frederick P. Rose del Lincoln Center en la ciudad de Nueva York.
