Last Week, Univision Ranked as the No. 4 Broadcast Network Among Young Adults 18-34, Outperforming CBS

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of April 25, 2016 to May 1, 2016

  • Last week (M-SU), Univision ranked as the No. 4 broadcast network among young Adults 18-34, outperforming CBS.  Also, Univision saw week-to-week growth (+4% Total Viewers 2+, +9% Adults 18-49 and +10% young Adults 18-34) and out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on six nights among young Adults 18-34.
  • On Thursday, the three-hour finale of “Pasión y Poder” (8pm-11pm) on Univision…
    • Averaged 3.1 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.5 million Adults 18-49 and 746,000 young Adults 18-34.
    • Consistently increased its audience in every hour with double-digit growth in the last hour compared to the first hour among Total Viewers 2+ (+19%), Adults 18-49 (+26%) and young Adults 18-34 (+26%).
    • Was the fifth most-watched program on broadcast television with more young Adult 18-34 viewers than the entire original line-ups on NBC (“Strong,” “The Blacklist” and “Game of Silence”) and FOX (“Bones” and “American Grit”) as well as first-run episodes of ABC’s “The Catch” and CBS’ “The Odd Couple,” “Mom,” “2 Broke Girls” and “Rush Hour.”
    • Delivered more Adults 18-49 than the entire original line-up on FOX (“Bones” and “American Grit”) as well as the first-run episodes of ABC’s “The Catch,” CBS’ “Rush Hour” and NBC’s “Strong” and “Game of Silence.”
  • Airing M-F 8pm, “Un Camino Hacia el Destino” (A Path to Destiny) saw week-to-week growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+7% to 2.1 million), Adults 18-49 (+9% to 955,000) and young Adults 18-34 (+7% to 445,000).
  • Airing M-F 10pm, “El Hotel de los Secretos” (The Hotel of Secrets) saw week-to-week growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+2% to 1.9 million), Adults 18-49 (+9% to 946,000) and young Adults 18-34 (+13% to 397,000).
  • On Saturday…
    • Airing 8-9pm, the Eugenio Derbez Mother’s Day special “Diversión Toda Madre” averaged 815,000 Total Viewers 2+, 445,000 Adults 18-49 and 163,000 young Adults 18-34.
    •  Next, the two-hour airing of “Sal y Pimienta” (Salt and Pepper) averaged 1.0 million Total Viewers 2+, 442,000 Adults 18-49 and 162,000 young Adults 18-34.
    •  Univision’s entire Saturday prime lineup ranked among the top 10 programs for the night with Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and young Adults 18-34.
  • On Sunday, Univision ranked as the No. 4 broadcast network among young Adults 18-34, outperforming CBS…
    • Airing 7-8pm, “Aquí y Ahora” (Here and Now) saw week-to-week growth among young Total Viewers 2+ (+12% to 1.6 million) and Adults 18-49 (+12% to 610,000).
    •  Airing 8-10:05pm, “Nuestra Belleza Latina” (Our Latin Beauty) averaged 2.0 million Total Viewers 2+, 923,000 Adults 18-49 and 422,000 young Adults 18-34.
    •  Finally, “Sal y Pimienta” (Salt and Pepper) averaged 1.7 million Total Viewers 2+, 810,000 Adults 18-49 and 363,000 young Adults 18-34.
    •  Univision’s entire Sunday prime lineup ranked among the top 25 programs for the night with Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and young Adults 18-34.
