UniMás Outperformed Telemundo on Saturday and Sunday for the Second Consecutive Week

For the second consecutive weekend, UniMás was the No. 2 Spanish-language network beating Telemundo for the entire weekend among Total Viewers 2+ (+45%), Adults 18-49 (+65%) and young Adults 18-34 (+71%).

UniMás ranked as the No. 2 Spanish-language network for the seventh consecutive Saturday night and attracted more than double the Adults 18-49 (+120%) and young Adults 18-34 (+153%) compared to Telemundo. UniMás also reported double-digit percentage gains over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+51%) on Saturday night.

  • Airing head-to-head, UniMás’ Cine Cantinflas film “El Ministro y Yo” attracted 886,000 Total Viewers 2+, 385,000 Adults 18-49 and 181,000 young Adults 18-34.
  • Following at 9pm, the UniMás feature film presentation “Killers” built on its lead-in delivered 933,000 Total Viewers 2+, 503,000 Adults 18-49 and 233,000 young Adults 18-34.
  • In fact, UniMás’ back-to-back movie lineup out-delivered Telemundo’s entire primetime lineup including “Qué Noche” and “America’s Funniest Videos” with Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and young Adults 18-34.

On Sunday night, UniMás maintained its position as the No. 2 Spanish-language network over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+18%), Adults 18-49 (+14%) and young Adults 18-34 (+19%).

  • UniMás kicked off the night with the Cineplex film, “Decline of An Empire” and attracted 549,000 Total Viewers 2+, 278,000 Adults 18-49 and 119,000 young Adults 18-34.
  • Following at 8pm, UniMás’ feature presentation “Apocalypto” built on its lead-in and attracted 1.2 million Total Viewers 2+, 589,000 Adults 18-49 and 308,000 young Adults 18-34.

Versus the same week a year ago (02/16/15 – 02/22/15), UniMás attracted more Total Viewers 2+ (+17%), Adults 18-49 (+6%) and young Adults 18-34 (+20%).

In the current 2015/16 Season, UniMás is over-delivering the same weeks in the 2014/15 Season among Total Viewers 2+ (+17%) and Adults 18-49 (+9%) during broadcast prime.

UniMás, on average, delivered more viewers than the combined audience of Estrella, Azteca and MundoMax among Total Viewers 2+ (+51%) and more than double the Adults 18-49 (+117%) and young Adults 18-34 (+128%).
