Telenovela superstar Fernando Colunga makes his long awaited return to the small screen and stars opposite on-screen rival Jorge Salinas to bring their contentious story to life on Tuesday, November 3rd at 9 p.m. ET/PT (8 p.m. Central)
WHAT: Telenovela heartthrob Fernando Colunga hits the small screen again but this time interpreting a villain as he competes against Jorge Salinas for the love of Susana Gonzalez and for power in Televisa’s latest super production, “Pasión y Poder” (Passion and Power).
Univision Network’s new primetime telenovela, “Pasión y Poder” chronicles the love stories and fight for power of two feuding families. A rivalry that originated in each men’s youth, when Eladio Gómez Luna (Fernando Colunga) and Arturo Montenegro (Jorge Salinas) both fell in love with the beautiful Julia Vallado (Susana Gonzalez). Julia and Arturo were set to wed when the bride-to-be learns that her fiancé has cheated on her and impregnated another woman during a boozy night out. Heartbroken, Julia marries Eladio out of spite.
Years later, Julia is a very unhappy woman and is suffering at the hands of her cruel husband. Her only consolation is her son David (José Pablo Minor). Meanwhile, Arturo decides to marry Nina (Marlene Favela), an attractive but frivolous and ambitious woman with whom he has three children: Erick (Alejandro Nones), Daniela (Irina Baeva), and Regina (Michelle Renaud).
Julia and Eladio’s son, David Gómez Luna, is the complete antithesis of his father. As fate would have it, he and Regina are both working in the same place and it was love at first sight despite knowing their fathers’ hatred towards each other.
Julia and Arturo struggle to give their love a second chance and must surmount the obstacles in their way. Each of them will have to make a decision and fight for what controls their lives…Passion and Power.
This telenovela marks the debut of “El Gordo y La Flaca’s” Danilo Carrera in a Televisa production. Carrera will be playing Colunga’s illegitimate son, Franco Herrera.

QUÉ: El galán de telenovelas Fernando Colunga hace su aparición en la pantalla chica, pero esta vez interpreta a un villano, al competir con Jorge Salinas por el amor de Susana Gonzalez en la última superproducción de Televisa, “Pasión y Poder”.
La nueva telenovela en horario estelar de la Cadena Univision, “Pasión y Poder”, una versión moderna de Romeo y Julieta que sucede en México, narra las historias de amor y lucha por el poder de dos familias enfrentadas. Una rivalidad se originó en la juventud de cada uno de los protagonistas, cuando Eladio Gómez Luna (Fernando Colunga) y Arturo Montenegro (Jorge Salinas) se enamoraron de la hermosa Julia Vallado (Susana Gonzalez). Julia y Arturo estaban comprometidos, pero la futura novia se entera de que su prometido la ha engañado y ha embarazado a otra mujer durante una noche de borrachera. Con el corazón roto, Julia se casa con Eladio por despecho.
Años más tarde, Julia es una mujer muy infeliz y sufre a manos de su cruel marido. Su único consuelo es su hijo David (José Pablo Minor). Entre tanto, Arturo decide casarse con Nina (Marlene Favela), una mujer atractiva pero frívola y ambiciosa con la que tiene tres hijos: Erick (Alejandro Nones), Daniela (Irina Baeva) y Regina (Michelle Renaud).
El hijo de Julia y Eladio, David Gómez Luna, es la antítesis completa de su padre. El destino quiso que él y Regina trabajaran en el mismo lugar, y fueron presa de un amor a primera vista a pesar de conocer el odio que sus padres sienten el uno hacia el otro.
Julia y Arturo luchan para dar a su amor una segunda oportunidad y deben superar los obstáculos en el camino. Cada uno de ellos tendrá que tomar una decisión y luchar por lo que controla sus vidas… pasión y poder.
