Mountain Biking’s Premier Event to be Broadcast Live in Spanish October 16
VIRGIN, UT – OCTOBER 15, 2015 – Univision Deportes, the multimedia sports division of Univision Communications Inc. (UCI) that also includes UDN, the No. 1 Spanish-language sports network, today announced a partnership with Red Bull Media House to bring fans the first-ever Spanish-language simulcast of Red Bull Rampage, the premier event in freeride mountain biking. The wildly successful event series is now in its 10th edition. The Spanish language simulcast will live on Univisiondeportes.com/Rampage and will air alongside Red Bull’s English-language version of the competition livestream on Red Bull TV October 16, beginning at 9:30am PT/12:30pm ET.
Commentator Pierre Scholz will cover Univision Deportes’ digital simulcast of the competition and will be providing the play-by-play of this year’s finals. Scholz has over 15 years of experience working inside and around the sports and entertainment industry in Latin America, and has had the opportunity to host multiple action sports events. As a sports marketing manager, he helped develop the sportive careers of international athletes such as Daniel Dhers, Mariana Pajon, and Marcelo Gutierrez. Additionally, he has collaborated as a writer for multiple lifestyle magazines, hosted TV shows in Colombia, and has worked as a radio commentator.
