“Contacto Deportivo” Ranks as the Fastest-Growing Sports News Program on All of Television, Regardless of Language
Univision Deportes’ flagship sports news program “Contacto Deportivo,” which airs on the Univision Network, set ratings records in August and bested direct competitor ESPN SportsCenter.
- “Contacto Deportivo,” which airs weekdays at 12a, averaged 542,000 Total Viewers 2+ in August, besting the daily 12a edition of ESPN SportsCenter by +5%.
- “Contacto Deportivo” viewership increased +213% year-year among Total Viewers 2+ and +170% among Adults 18-49 in August, the fastest-growing sports news program on all television with both demos, regardless of language. Meanwhile, ESPN SportsCenter audience declined -8% among both Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49.
