UDN the Second Most-Viewed Sports Network in Primetime, Beating ESPN2, FOX Sports 1 and NBC Sports Network
NEW YORK – AUGUST 14, 2015 – Univision Deportes aired 5 Liga MX matches last week, including the Tigres vs. Guadalajara match, which was the most-viewed Liga MX ever on UDN. In primetime, UDN was the second most-viewed sports network of the week, regardless of language, attracting a larger audience than ESPN2, FOX Sports 1 and NBC Sports Network.
The UDN broadcast of Tigres vs. Guadalajara on Sunday, August 9 at 7:55 p.m. ET delivered 890,000 Total Viewers 2+, 534,000 Adults 18-49 and 258,000 young Adults 18-34.
- This was a ratings record for a UDN exclusive regular season Liga MX match, besting the telecast of América vs. Santos on April 30, 2014 by +25% among Total Viewers 2+ and +10% among Adults 18-49.
- The match outperformed NBC’s broadcast of EPL’s Swansea City vs. Chelsea on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
Last week, UDN out-delivered FOX Deportes and ESPN Deportes, making UDN the No. 1 Spanish-language sports network for the 5th week in a row.
Liga MX is averaging 327,000 Total Viewers 2+, 205,000 Adults 18-49 and 106,000 Adults 18-34 per match on UDN this season, increases of +49% among Total Viewers 2+, +46% among Adults 18-49 and +67% among young Adults 18-34 vs. the Apertura ’14 season. Liga MX delivers +24% more Adults 18-49 than MLB games on Fox Sports 1 this season.
