KMEX Univision 34 Leads with Nine Emmy Wins at the 67th Annual Los Angeles Area Emmy® Awards
LOS ANGELES – JULY 27, 2015 – KMEX Univision 34 Los Angeles won nine prestigious Emmy Awards by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences this past Saturday, July 25th during the 67th Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards held at The Skirball Cultural Center Guerin Pavilion. KMEX Univision 34 had a total of 24 Emmy nominations, more than any other television station and took home more Emmy’s than any other television station.
“It is an honor to be recognized by our peers for our hard work, dedication and professionalism,” said Marco Flores, news director/regional director West Coast. “We are extremely proud of our news team; a team whose integrity and passion are reflected in their work; and a team that keeps our community in mind each and every day.”
KMEX received an EMMY for its Regularly Scheduled Daily Daytime Newscast, Noticias 34 a las Seis (6PM).
Wrapping up the evening was the win for KMEX’s morning newscast Primera Edición (First Edition).

KMEX Univision 34 en la vanguardia con nueve premios en la 67º edición anual de los Emmy del área de Los Ángeles
LOS ÁNGELES – 27 DE JULIO DE 2015 – KMEX Univision 34 Los Ángeles ganó nueve prestigiosos premios Emmy de la Academy of Television Arts & Sciences el sábado, 25 de julio en la 67º ceremonia anual de los premios Emmy en el área de Los Ángeles, realizada en el Guerin Pavilion de The Skirball Cultural Center. KMEX Univision 34 tuvo un total de 24 nominaciones al Emmy, con lo que superó a todos los demás canales de televisión, y recibió también más que cualquier otra estación.
“Es un honor que nuestros colegas reconozcan nuestro trabajo arduo, dedicación y profesionalismo”, dijo Marco Flores, director de noticias/director regional de la Costa Oeste. “Estamos sumamente orgullosos de nuestro equipo de noticias; un equipo cuya integridad y entrega se reflejan en su trabajo, y un equipo que tiene a la comunidad en mente todos los días”.
KMEX recibió un EMMY por su noticiero diario regularmente programado durante el día, Noticias 34 a las Seis (6PM).
La velada concluyó con una victoria para el noticiero matutino de KMEX, Primera Edición.
