Ranks as Most-Viewed 2nd Day of Gold Cup Since 2002
NEW YORK – JULY 9, 2015 – Univision Deportes, the sports division of Univision Communications Inc., the leading media company serving Hispanic America, registered impressive ratings on its 2nd day of 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup coverage, the largest audience for a day 2 of Gold Cup matches on any network, regardless of language, since 2002.
On UniMás, simulcast on UDN, the Costa Rica vs. Jamaica match aired on Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. ET, averaging 1.3 million Total Viewers 2+ and 834,000 Adults 18-49.
- The match delivered 13x more Total Viewers 2+ and nearly 14x more Adults 18-49 than the same match on Fox Sports 2.
On UniMás, simulcast on UDN, the El Salvador vs. Canada match aired Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. ET, averaging 1.3 million Total Viewers 2+ and 816,000 Adults 18-49.
- The match delivered nearly 18x more Total Viewers 2+ and 21x more Adults 18-49 than the same match on Fox Sports 2.
Through 2 days and 4 matches of 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup tournament, Univision Deportes is averaging 1.3 million Total Viewers 2+ and 790,000 Adults 18-49 per match, out-delivering Fox Networks by +275% and +307%, respectively.
- Univision Deportes performance is up +8% among Total Viewers 2+ and +12% among Adults 18-49 compared to its coverage of the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
