Univision Set to Finish Competitive May Sweep as the No. 2 Network Among Young Adults 18-34, Outperforming CBS, NBC and FOX

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of May 11, 2015 to May 17, 2015

  • In the May 2015 Sweep-to-Date (25 nights), Univision…
    • Ranks as the No. 2 broadcast network among young Adults 18-34, outperforming CBS, NBC and FOX.
    • Has a median age of 40, approximately 17 years younger than the top 4 English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) average.
    • Outperformed at least one English-language broadcast network on 21 nights among young Adults 18-34 and 17 nights among Adults 18-49.
  • Last week (M-SU), Univision Network ranked No. 2 in primetime among young Adults 18-34, outperforming CBS, NBC and FOX.  Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) every night among young Adults 18-34.
  • “Amores con Trampa” (Fooled Into Love) helped make Univision the No. 3 network among young Adults 18-34 in the Monday-Friday 8 p.m. time period, outperforming FOX and NBC.  The novela saw week-to-week growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+6% to 2.9 million), Adults 18-49 (+7% to 1.5 million) and young Adults 18-34 (+11% to 647,000).
  • Airing Monday to Friday 9 p.m.-10 p.m., the finale week of “Hasta El Fin Del Mundo” (Until the End of Time) helped make Univision the No. 2 network among young Adults 18-34, outperforming NBC, CBS and FOX.  On Friday night, the final episode averaged 4.0 million Total Viewers 2+ and was the No. 1 program of the evening among young Adults 18-34.
  • At 10 p.m., “Que Te Perdone Dios” (Let God Forgive You) helped make Univision the No. 2 network among young Adults 18-34, outperforming ABC, NBC and CBS.  The novela saw week-to-week growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+20% to 2.9 million), Adults 18-49 (+30% to 1.4 million) and young Adults 18-34 (+29% to 589,000).
  • Airing “Sábado Gigante” (Giant Saturday), Univision ranked as the No. 1 and No. 2 network, respectively, on Saturday night among young Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, outperforming ABC, NBC and FOX in each demographic.  “Sábado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) averaged 1.7 million Total Viewers 2+, 649,000 Adults 18-49 and 249,000 young Adults 18-34.
  • On Sunday, Univision’s full primetime lineup ranked within the top 20 programs for the entire evening among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and young Adults 18-34.
    • At 7 p.m., “Aquí y Ahora” (Here and Now) saw week-to-week growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+45% to 1.5 million), Adults 18-49 (+30% to 630,000) and young Adults 18-34 (+38% to 238,000).
    • Next, “Me Pongo de Pie” (I Stand Up) saw week-to-week growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+16% to 1.7 million) and Adults 18-49 (+2% to 743,000).
    • At 10:01 p.m., “Sal y Pimienta” (Salt and Pepper) helped make Univision the No. 2 network among both young Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, outperforming CBS and NBC in each demographic.  The show saw week-to-week growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+33% to 1.8 million), Adults 18-49 (+23% to 826,000) and young Adults 18-34 (+24% to 338,000).
