The search is on for top DJs to Compete in Epic DJ Battle and be the Next “DJ@PJ” this July on the Univision Network’s “Premios Juventud” (Youth Awards)
WHAT: For the third consecutive year, Univision Network is embarking on a nationwide search for the next “DJ @ PJ.” Starting today, top DJ’s can apply for the opportunity to be guest DJ’s at the Red Carpet and After Party of the “Premios Juventud” awards show in July.
Univision Network producers and a panel of experts will select the top three finalists based on mixing skills, creativity, showmanship/energy and Spanish-language fluency. The finalists will be flown to Miami for an epic DJ BATTLE the week of the awards. For three consecutive years, the DJ @ PJ battle event is sponsored by T-Mobile.
WHO: Aspiring DJs from across the nation who are at least 21 years old and are passionate about music.
WHEN: Candidates can submit their application starting today until May 4, 2015.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
All those participating on DJ @ PJ must speak Spanish fluently, play open format and electronica with a Latin spin, be active on social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google+) and be available on July 11 and the following week for the battle and event, if selected.
As part of the DJ selection process, all candidates must submit the following information to djpj@univision.net:
- Photos: At least 3-4 photos (they can be a range of headshots and action shots, such as the candidate spinning at events)
- Bio: A short bio that includes experience in both English and Spanish
- Video: A 1-2 minute home video made with a high quality device of the candidate spinning and speaking Spanish.
- Mix: A 2 minute track
A Univision Network representative will reach out to all participating DJs and communicate the status of the competition.

PREMIOS JUVENTUD ANUNCIA LA BUSQUEDA DEL PRÓXIMO DJ HISPANO
Se inicia la búsqueda entre los DJs más reconocidos de todo el país para que compitan por la oportunidad de ser el próximo disc-jockey de los populares “Premios Juventud” de la Cadena Univision
QUÉ: Por tercer año consecutivo, la Cadena Univision emprende una búsqueda a nivel nacional entre los más populares disc-jockeys para elegir quien será el próximo “DJ@PJ”. A partir de hoy, todos los talentosos disc-jockeyspueden presentarse para tener la oportunidad de ser DJ invitados en la alfombra roja y fiesta posterior al programa de premiación de “Premios Juventud” en julio.
Productores de la Cadena Univision y un panel de expertos seleccionarán a tres finalistas en base a su capacidad para mezclar música, dotes para el espectáculo, energía y dominio del español. Se invitará a los finalistas a Miami para una épica batalla de disc-jockeysla semana de los premios. Por tres años consecutivos, el evento de la batalla de DJ@PJ es auspiciado por T-Mobile.
QUIÉNES: Apasionados de la músicade todo el país queaspiran a ser DJ, con por lo menos 21 años de edad.

Todos los candidatos que participen en DJ@PJ deben hablar bien el español, tocar música electrónica y de formato libre con un toque latino, participar activamente en medios sociales (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google+) y estar disponibles la semana del 11 de julio para la batalla y evento en caso sean seleccionados.
Como parte del proceso de selección de los disc-jockeys, todos los candidatos deben enviar la siguiente información a djpj@univision.net:
- Fotos: Presentar por lo menos 3-4 fotos (pueden ser una variedad de tomas del rostro y de acción, como por ejemplo, del candidato tocando música en eventos)
- Biografía: Presentar una biografía breve en inglés y español que incluya su experiencia
- Video: Presentar un video amateur de 1-2 minutos, grabado con un dispositivo de alta calidad, en el que salen tocando música y hablando español
- Mezcla: Crear una secuencia de 2 minutos
