HOUSTON – APRIL 22, 2015 – Univision Houston, in partnership with iAmerica, a national campaign and source for information on the Deferred Action program, and Mi Familia Vota, one of the premier Latino civic engagement organizations in the country, will host “Foro Sobre Acción Ejecutiva” (Forum on the Executive Action), a town hall meeting to address President Obama’s executive actions on immigration.
Hosted by Univision News anchors Arantxa Loizaga and Raul Peimbert, the town hall meeting will inform the Latino community in Texas on the details related to executive action, as well as Deferred Action for Parents (DAPA) and the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).
The televised town hall will take place at the Univision Houston studios and will air live on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 3:55 p.m. to 4:55 p.m. CT across all Univision owned television stations in Texas (Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and Austin.) In addition, Univision America will simulcast the town hall across its radio stations in McAllen, El Paso, Dallas and San Antonio. This special town hall will also be available live and on demand on Univision45.com.
A panel of distinguished guests, including Rocío Sáenz, International Executive Vice President, Service Employees International Union; Elsa Cabrero, president of SEIU Texas; and Janet Beck, Houston Board Certified in Immigration and Nationality law, will lead the discussion and answer questions.
A simultaneous phone bank will offer viewers and radio listeners the opportunity to call and ask questions about DAPA and DACA.

HOUSTON – 22 DE ABRIL DE 2015 – Univision Houston, en asociación con iAmerica, una campaña nacional y fuente de información sobre el programa de Acción Diferida, y Mi Familia Vota, una de las más destacadas organizaciones latinas de participación cívica en el país, presentarán “Foro sobre la Acción Ejecutiva”,unaasamblea pública para tratar las medidas ejecutivas en materia de inmigración decretadas por el Presidente Obama.
La asamblea pública, a cargo de la presentadores de noticias Arantxa Loizaga y Raúl Peimbert de Univision, informará a la comunidad latina en Texas sobre los detalles relacionados con el decreto ejecutivo, como también la Acción Diferida para Padres de Familia (Deferred Action for Parents o DAPA) y la Acción Diferida para la Llegada de Niños (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals o DACA).
La asamblea televisada tendrá lugar en los estudios de Univision Houston y se trasmitirá en vivo el sábado, 25 de abril de 2015 de 3:55 p.m. a 4:55 p.m. hora del Centro en todas las estaciones propiedad de Univision en Texas (Houston, Dallas, San Antonio y Austin.)
