Finale Made Univision No. 1 Broadcast Station Regardless of Language Among Adults 18-49 and Young Adults 18-34 in Los Angeles, New York, Houston, Dallas, and Sacramento

Season 9 Finale Was the No. 1 Most Social Reality Series Ranked on Total Tweets Across English -and Spanish- Language Broadcast & Cable Networks


NEW YORK, NY – APRIL 13, 2015 – The Season 9 finale of the Univision Network’s hit reality competition, “Nuestra Belleza Latina” (Our Latin Beauty), reached 6.9 million Total Viewers 2+, who tuned in to all or part of the two-and-a-half hour broadcast that aired last night, Sunday April 12th, from 8:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. ET. The show averaged its highest-rated telecast in its full season run with 3.9 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.8 million Adults 18-49, 858,000 Young Adults 18-34 and 1.1 million Persons 12-34.

Last night’s grand finale of “Nuestra Belleza Latina” Season 9:

  • Grew by double-digit margins over the Season 8 finale among Total Viewers 2+ (+28%), Adults 18-49 (+26%), Young Adults 18-34 (+19%) and Persons 12-34 (+25%).
  • Made Univision the No. 1 broadcast network during the two-and-a- half hour finale (8:00 p.m.-10:30 p.m.) among Adults 18-49, Young Adults 18-34 and Persons 12-34.
  • Delivered more Adult 18-49 viewers than the first-run episodes of ABC’s “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” “Secrets and Lies” and “Revenge;” CBS’ “The Good Wife” and “Battle Creek;” NBC’s “Dateline” and “American Odyssey;” and FOX’s “The Last Man on Earth.”

In its full-run, “Nuestra Belleza Latina” reported audience growth over its Season 8 performance among all key demographic groups, including Total Viewers 2+ (+14% to 3.1 million), Adults 18-49 (+17% to 1.5 million), Young Adults 18-34 (+11% to 653,000) and Persons 12-34 (+19% to 834,000).

POST-SHOW HIGHLIGHTS

  • The 10:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. airing of “Sal y Pimienta” retained and increased its strong lead-in audience from “Nuestra Belleza Latina” and averaged its highest-rated performance in the current 2014/2015 season with 4.1 million Total Viewers 2+, 2 million Adults 18-49, 926,000 Young Adults 18-34 and 1.2 million Persons 12-34.
  • In fact, last night’s telecast of “Sal y Pimienta” was the second highest-rated in the program’s history among Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers 2+.
  • Additionally, the half-hour airing reported 2x more Young Adults 18-34 and Persons 12-34 as well as +80% more Adults 18-49 and +81% more Total Viewers 2+ in comparison to its current 2014/2015 season-to-date average.

The “Nuestra Belleza Latina” finale made Univision the No. 1 broadcast station in the 8:00 p.m.-10:30 p.m. time period, out-delivering the ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX stations in Los Angeles among Young Adults 18-34 and in Miami among Adults 18-49 and Young Adults 18-34.

Among Young Adults 18-34, the “Nuestra Belleza Latina” Season 9 finale was the No. 1 broadcast program of the day in Los Angeles and Sacramento.

The “Nuestra Belleza Latina” Season 9 finale experienced significant growth versus the 2014 Season 8 finale among:

  • Total Viewers 2+ in New York, Miami, Houston, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Phoenix and Sacramento.
  • Adults 18-49 in New York, Miami, Dallas, San Francisco, Phoenix and Sacramento.
  • Young Adults 18-34 in New York, Miami, Houston, Dallas and Sacramento.
