UniMás Beats Telemundo During the Monday-Friday 10 pm Hour as #2 Spanish Language Network for 8th Consecutive Week

UniMás was the #2 Spanish-Language Network on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday Night Among Adults 18-34

UniMás Grew its Audience Season-over-Season Among Total Viewers 2+ (+7%), Adults 18-49 (+8%), and Adults 18-34 (+6%)

UniMás Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of April 14, 2014 to April 20, 2014

  • For the eighth consecutive week, UniMás was the #2 Spanish-language network, beating Telemundo during the Monday-Friday 10 p.m. hour. UniMás held an advantage over Telemundo for the 10 p.m. hour among Total Viewers 2+ (+4%), Adults 18-49 (+10%), and Adults 18-34 (+31%) viewers.
  • UniMás was the #2 Spanish-language network on Tuesday night, out-delivering Telemundo among Adults 18-34 (+3%).

– UniMás kicked off the night airing the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions League final between Cruz Azul and Toluca. The two-hour match ended in a 0-0 draw and attracted 686,000 Total Viewers 2+, 439,000 Adults 18-49, and 234,000 Adults 18-34.  In fact, compared to the first leg of last season’s final featuring Santos and Monterrey, the 8 p.m. soccer match attracted more Total Viewers 2+ (+2%), Adults 18-49 (+12%), and Adults 18-34 (+10%).

– Following at 10 p.m. “La Viuda Negra” reported audience increases over the prior Tuesday telecast among Adults 18-49 (+18% to 667,000) and Adults 18-34 (+40% to 364,000). Following in the 10 p.m. hour, “La Viuda Negra” was up versus its previous Tuesday night performance among both Adults 18-49 (+18% to 667,000) and Adults 18-34 (+40% to 364,000).

  • On Thursday night, UniMás clinched the #2 Spanish-language network rank, out-delivering Telemundo among Adults 18-49 (+19%) and Adults 18-34 (+60%).

–  The 8 p.m. movie “Open Water 2: Adrift” attracted more Total Viewers 2+ (+68%), Adults 18-49 (+89%) and Adults 18-34 (+114%) versus last Thursday’s title “Dark Blue.”

–  “La Viuda Negra” delivered its highest-rated Thursday night performance since its premiere (02/24/14) and averaged 1.4 Million Total Viewers 2+, 861,000 Adults 18-49, and 476,000 Adults 18-34 viewers. “La Viuda Negra” ranked among the top 20 programs for the night with Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

  • On Saturday night UniMás was the #2 Spanish-language network over Telemundo among Adults 18-34 (+5%).
  • In the current 2013/2014 season, UniMás reported primetime audience growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+7%) and Adults 18-49 (+8%), and Adults 18-34 (+6%) over the comparable weeks in the 2012/2013 season.
  • Versus the same week a year ago (04/08/13-04/14/13), UniMás reported double-digit percentage growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+57%), Adults 18-49 (+61%), and Adults 18-34 (+62%) viewers.
  • UniMás, on average, more than doubled the combined audience of Estrella, Azteca, and MundoFox among Adults 18-49 (+133%) and Adults 18-34 (+160%).
