The first full-time, Spanish-language television station and first UHF channel in the continental U.S, known as the birthplace of Spanish-language TV, Univision San Antonio first signed on the airwaves on June 10th, 1955 as KCOR TV and eventually become what we now know as the Univision Network. Since then, Univision has been a pillar in the community and an integral force in shaping the television industry not only in San Antonio but across the nation.
An integral part of San Antonio’s history, Univision is embedded in the city’s Hispanic community – a community that is 1.7 Million strong and makes up over half (57%) of the market population.
