Macarena Garcia is starring in the first episode of the reimagined version of the psychological thriller
MIAMI – NOVEMBER 3, 2022 – The first episode of the new version of MUJERES ASESINAS (Killer Women) will premiere exclusively on ViX+ this Friday, November 4. The reboot of the award-winning anthology that became one of the most popular series on Mexican television almost 10 years ago, will showcase stories inspired by real events, with new episodes weekly.
The first episode of MUJERES ASESINAS, “Las Golondrinas,” features Mexican actress Macarena Garcia (“100 Días Para Enamorarnos,” “Control Z,” “Los Elegidos,” “Una Familia Poderosa,” “Like,” “La Leyenda,” “Muy Padres,” “Amor Bravío”) and tells the story of Silvia, a timid, recently graduated nurse, who has a deep relationship with her mother, Marta, and an estranged relationship with her alcoholic father, Raphael. Raphael’s alcohol problem brings Marta and Silvia together, but life gives them a setback revealing a devastating diagnosis in Marta’s health, changing the family’s dynamic.

El primer episodio de MUJERES ASESINAS, “Las golondrinas”, es protagonizado por la actriz mexicana Macarena García (“100 días para enamorarnos”, “Control Z”, “Los elegidos”, “Una familia poderosa”, “Like”, “La leyenda”, “Muy padres”, “Amor bravío”) y cuenta la historia de Silvia, una tímida enfermera recién graduada que tiene una profunda relación con su madre, Marta, y una relación distanciada con su padre alcohólico, Raphael. El problema de Raphael con el alcohol une a Marta y Silvia, pero la vida les da un revés cuando se descubre un diagnóstico devastador sobre la salud de Marta, lo que transforma la dinámica familiar.
