UNIVISION ON PACE TO FINISH THE JULY 2017 SWEEP AS THE NO. 2 NETWORK IN PRIMETIME AHEAD OF ABC, CBS, FOX and CW AMONG ADULTS 18-34

Univision Slated to be the No. 1 Spanish-Language Network Out-Delivering Closest Competitor by Double-Digit Margins Across Key Demos

KMEX to End July Sweep as the No. 1 Station in Los Angeles, Regardless of Language

NEW YORK – JULY 26, 2017 – Univision Network is set to finish the July 2017 Sweep as the No. 2 broadcast network in primetime among Adults 18-34, out-delivering ABC, CBS, FOX, and CW. For the 25th consecutive year in any July Sweep, Univision will finish as the No. 1 Spanish-language network during primetime, out-performing its closest competitor by double-digit margins among Total Viewers 2+ (+33%), Adults 18-49 (+20%) and Adults 18-34 (+14%).  Additionally, the networks of Univision are delivering a 62% share of the primetime Spanish-language Adult 18-49 audience, up by five share points from the comparable nights in the July 2016 sweep.

During the July 2017 Sweeps, Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on virtually every single night among Adults 18-34 (25 out of 27 nights or 93% of the time) and on nearly three out of every four nights among Adults 18-49 (20 out of 27 nights or 74% of the time).  Driving the success is Univision’s epic 8 p.m. series, “Jose De Egipto” and 9 p.m. telenovela “La Doble Vida De Estela Carrillo,” which is averaging more Adult 18-34 viewers than the first-run episodes of such English-language programs as ABC’s “Boy Band” and “Somewhere Between;” CBS’ “Zoo;” NBC’s “The Night Shift;” FOX’s “American Grit” and “Superhuman” as well as CW’s “Hooten and The Lady” and “Masters of Illusion.”
