UDN Outperforms Fox Sports 1, NBC Sports Network and ESPN2 in Primetime among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49 on Sunday

Súper Clásico on Univision Deportes Ranks as Most Watched Regular Season Club Soccer Match since 2010; Outperforms NBA on ESPN and NHL on NBC for Current Season-to-Date

Univision Stations in Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas and Phoenix Ranked No. 1 in the Time Period among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34


NEW YORK – MARCH 15, 2016 – Univision Deportes, the multimedia sports division of Univision Communications Inc. (UCI) that also includes UDN, the No. 1 Spanish-language sports network, delivered strong ratings for El Súper Clásico soccer match between Chivas and Guadalajara that aired on Sunday at 9:30 p.m. on UniMás . The match was the highest rated regular season club soccer match on any network, regardless of language, among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49, since 2010 and averaged 2.9 million Total Viewers 2+ and 1.8 million Adults 18-49. On that night, UDN (Univision Deportes Network) ranked as the second most-watched cable sports network, regardless of language, in primetime among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49, outperforming Fox Sports 1, NBC Sports Network and ESPN2.

The telecast reached 4.7 million Total Viewers 2+ and 2.9 million Adults 18-49, outperforming all NBA games on ESPN and NHL matches on NBC for the current season-to-date. The telecast also grew +1% among Total Viewers 2+ and +5% among Adults 18-49 from the Clausura 2015 Súper Clásico on Univision Deportes.

  • Total Viewers 2+ in San Francisco, Phoenix and Sacramento
  • Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 in New York, Miami, San Francisco and Phoenix
