The sister network of Univision, UniMás, starts a new phase as of next Monday, May 13 with more live news, sports, entertainment and reality programming. The network starts in the news area live with Noticiero Univisión Edición Nocturnaat 10pm, presenting Patricia Janiot and Enrique Acevedo. The announcement was made by Jessica Rodríguez, CMO and president of Entertainment at Univision Communications Inc. (UCI) during the press conference via streaming covering the Upfront 2019.
Another launch that is coming to UniMás will be the reality show Enamorándonos, based on a format that has had global success, that has four seasons in Mexico and 15 in Turkey, and will be produced at Univision Studios Miami. The show will run from Monday to Friday in two-hour episodes. Additionally, the network will launch on Monday May, 27 at 7pm the reality from Televisa Inseparables, Amor al Límite.
The big bets for Univision include El Dragón, written by Arturo Pérez Reverte, starring Sebastián Ruli (W Studios/Televisa) and the novelas by Televisa’s Fábrica de Sueños, titled La Usurpadora, Cuna de Lobos, Rubí, El Maleficio, Los Ricos También Lloran); Apocalipsis and Jezabel from Record TV and the spinoff from Televisa’s Mi Marido Tiene Familia, El Corazón Nunca se Equivoca, from the producer Juan Osorio, among others.
“I am very excited because it is very important to announce that UniMás will be reprogrammed and relaunched to focus on live entertainment: live news, live sports, and live realities. It is going to be the more differentiated network of the entire broadcast portfolio, not only in Spanish but also in English. We are conducting an investment commitment on this network like never before,” highlighted Rodríguez.
