“Mira Quien Baila Univision All Stars” Positions Univision Ahead of CBS, NBC and FOX in the Time Period on Sunday Night Among Adults 18-34
Univision Outperforms ABC and FOX for Third Consecutive Saturday Night Among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 With Live Soccer Coverage
Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of March 15, 2021 to March 21, 2021
- Univision ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-language network during primetime for the 26th consecutive week in the current 2020/2021 season with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+12% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+20% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+30% adv.).
- Sunday night’s two-hour airing of “Mira Quien Baila Univision All Stars” delivered 1.6 million Total Viewers 2+, 491,000 Adults 18-49 and 207,000 Adults 18-34, positioning Univision ahead of CBS, NBC, FOX and The CW during the 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. time slot with Adults 18-34, ahead of NBC and The CW among Adults 18-49 and ahead of FOX and The CW with Total Viewers 2+. The reality series consistently increased its audience throughout its two-hour airing with double-digit audience growth in the last half-hour compared to the first half-hour among Total Viewers 2+ (+39%), Adults 18-49 (+73%) and Adults 18-34 (+53%). “Mira Quien Baila Univision All Stars” also positioned Univision as the No. 1 Spanish-language network with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. among Total Viewers 2+ (+60% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+32% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+79% adv.).
- For the third consecutive Saturday night, Univision finished ahead of ABC, NBC and FOX for the entire night among Adults 18-34 and outperformed ABC and FOX among Adults 18-49 with live coverage of Liga MX. The soccer matchups of Club Atletico SL vs. UNAM and Cruz Azul vs. Atlas delivered an average audience of 636,000 Total Viewers 2+, 287,000 Adults 18-49 and 101,000 Adults 18-34. Cruz Azul vs. Atlas ranked among the top 5 most-watched programs on broadcast television on Saturday night among Adults 18-49 (361,000) and Adults 18-34 (129,000). Liga MX also made Univision the No. 1 Spanish-language network, outperforming Telemundo for the entire night among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
- For the entire week, Univision finished as the fifth most-watched broadcast network during primetime, out-delivering The CW with 1.4 million Total Viewers 2+, 465,000 Adults 18-49 and 172,000 Adults 18-34.
- Univision outperformed one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on every night last week among Adults 18-34 and on six out of seven nights among Adults 18-49 for the second consecutive week.
- Airing weeknights at 8 p.m., “Vencer el Desamor” delivered 1.8 million Total Viewers 2+, 618,000 Adults 18-49 and 249,000 Adults 18-34 and drove Univision ahead of NBC among Adults 18-34 and ahead of The CW and Telemundo with Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
- Airing weeknights at 9 p.m. Univision’s “Te Acuerdas de Mí” delivered 1.5 million Total Viewers 2+, 496,000 Adults 18-49 and 171,000 Adults 18-34, positioning Univision ahead of The CW with Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. “Te Acuerdas de Mí” outperformed Telemundo’s “La Suerte de Loli” by double-digit margins head-to-head among Total Viewers 2+ (+28% adv.) and Adults 18-49 (+24% adv.).
- Airing weeknights at 10 p.m. Univision’s “La Hija del Embajador” averaged 1.3 million Total Viewers 2+, 418,000 Adults 18-49 and 135,000 Adults 18-34. “La Hija del Embajador” also outperformed Telemundo’s “Buscando a Frida” in the 10 p.m. hour among Total Viewers 2+ (+19% adv.).
