UniMás’ Reality Competition, “Desafío Súper Regiones” Outpaces ABC on Tuesday Night Among Adults 18-34, Averages Highest-Rated Weekly Performance Among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-34
UniMás Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of February 22, 2021 to February 28, 2021
- UniMás averaged 604,000 Total Viewers 2+, 259,000 Adults 18-49 and 116,000 Adults 18-34 during primetime. This marked the highest-rated weekly primetime performance in the current 2020/2021 season and the fourth consecutive week of audience growth among Adults 18-34. UniMás also grew its primetime audience week-over-week among Total Viewers 2+ (+6% to 604,000) and Adults 18-34 (+4% to 116,000).
- UniMás out-delivered The CW by double-digit margins during primetime for the 23rd consecutive week in the current 2020/2021 season among Adults 18-49 (+24% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+93% adv.)
- UniMás’ weeknight 8 p.m. live matchmaking reality show, “Enamorándonos” attracted 691,000 Total Viewers 2+, 264,000 Adults 18-49 and 126,000 Adults 18-34 for the entire week. The program also increased its audience by double-digit margins in the last hour compared to the first hour among Total Viewers 2+ (+15%), Adults 18-49 (+19%) and Adults 18-34 (+16%).
- UniMás’ “Enamorándonos” outperformed The CW in the Monday to Friday 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. time period by double-digit margins among Adults 18-49 (+17% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+97% adv.). On Tuesday night, UniMás outperformed ABC (+19% adv.), FOX (+82% adv.), The CW (+101% adv.) and Telemundo (+26% adv.) by double-to-triple digit margins in the 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. time slot among Adults 18-34 as well as averaged more Adults 18-49 than FOX (+6% adv.). “Enamorándonos” also positioned UniMás ahead of Telemundo (+2% adv.) and NBC (+12% adv.) among Adults 18-34 on Thursday and Friday night, respectively.
- UniMás’ weeknight 10 p.m. reality competition, “Desafío Súper Regiones” delivered its highest-rated weekly performance in its run thus far and attracted week-over-week audience growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+7% to 374,000) and Adults 18-34 (+3% to 69,000). In fact, the program delivered its highest-rated telecast in its current run among Adults 18-34 (100,000) on Tuesday night, outperforming ABC (+5% adv.). The program also grew the network’s Monday to Friday 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. time period year-over-year among Total Viewers 2+ (+9% to 374,000).
- On Monday night, live coverage of the “Liga MX: Pachuca vs. Chivas Guadalajara” matchup on the UniMás network averaged 600,000 Total Viewers 2+, 313,000 Adults 18-49 and 122,000 Adults 18-34. The game increased the network’s 9:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. time slot by double-to-triple digit margins week-over-week among Total Viewers 2+ (+74% to 600,000), Adults 18-49 (+114% to 313,000) and Adults 18-34 (+58% to 122,000). The showdown also delivered double-digit audience growth to the time period year-over-year among Total Viewers 2+ (+66% to 600,000), Adults 18-49 (+94% to 313,000) and Adults 18-34 (+58% to 122,000).
- Saturday night’s movie line-up including, (“CineNight: The Day the Earth Stood Still” and “Cineplex: The Happening”) made UniMás a top-rated network among Adults 18-34, out-delivering CBS (+31% adv.), NBC (+97% adv.), FOX (+126% adv.) and Telemundo (+35% adv.) by double-to-triple digit margins. This marked the third straight Saturday night that UniMás outperformed CBS and FOX among Adult 18-34 viewers. UniMás also topped NBC (+7% adv.), FOX (+6% adv.) and Telemundo (+2% adv.) among Adults 18-49, marking the fourth consecutive Saturday night that UniMás bested FOX among Adults 18-49. The movie line-up delivered double-digit audience growth to the network’s 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. time period week-over-week among Adults 18-49 (+20% to 274,000) and Adults 18-34 (+21% to 134,000). The line-up also increased the network’s time slot by double-to-triple digit margins year-over-year among Total Viewers 2+ (+38% to 553,000), Adults 18-49 (+56% to 274,000) and Adults 18-34 (+109% to 134,000).
- For the third consecutive Sunday night, UniMás topped Telemundo (+17% adv.) among Adults 18-34 with a movie line-up that included (“Cineplex: The Italian Job” and “CineMás: Kung Fu Killer”). UniMás also out-delivered The CW by double-to-triple digit margins among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 for the entire night. This marked the 26th straight Sunday night that UniMás has outperformed The CW among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 and the fourth consecutive Sunday night among Total Viewers 2+.
- UniMás outperformed the combined audience of Azteca, Estrella TV and TeleXitos for the entire week during primetime with triple-digit audience advantages among Total Viewers 2+ (+182% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+275% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+263% adv.).
