Stirring Conclusion to Popular Reality Dance Competition Bests NBC Among Adults 18-49 and FOX with Total Viewers 2+ During Finale and Entire Night
Univision Stations in Los Angeles, Dallas and Phoenix Rank No. 1 Regardless of Language in the Time Period Among Adults 18-49 During Finale
MIAMI – FEBRUARY 24, 2020 – Former Miss Universe Puerto Rico Kiara Liz was the last dancer standing during Sunday night’s dramatic “Mira Quién Baila All Stars” season two finale. Airing from 8:00-10:12 p.m. ET/PT, the two-hour program reached 2.6 million Total Viewers 2+ who tuned in to all or part of the program, and averaged 1.9 million Total Viewers 2+, 681,000 Adults 18-49, and 289,000 Adults 18-34. The reality dance competition positioned Univision ahead of CBS, NBC and FOX among the Young Adult 18-34 demo, and delivered more Adults 18-49 than NBC and more Total Viewers 2+ than FOX during the time period and for the entire night.
Featuring an opening number headlined by show judges Casper Smart, Bianca Marroquín and Dayanara Torres, “Mira Quién Baila All Stars” made Univision the No. 1 Spanish-language network during the two-hour finale with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+77% advantage), Adults 18-49 (+56% advantage) and Adults 18-34 (+70% advantage). In fact, “Mira Quién Baila All Stars” outperformed Telemundo’s entire original primetime line-up consisting of “Exatlón Estados Unidos” and “La Voz II” on this night among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. Furthermore, the program positioned Univision as the No. 1 Spanish-language network from 7:00 – 11:00 p.m. ET with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+51% advantage), Adults 18-49 (+35% advantage) and Adults 18-34 (+40% advantage).
The thrilling final episode, which included performances by Paulina Rubio, Christian Nodal, and the Los Angeles Azules band joined by Fanny Lu, was the third most-watched program on broadcast television with more Adult 18-34 viewers than the entire original primetime line-ups on CBS (“60 Minutes,” “God Befriended Me,” “NCIS: Los Angeles” and “NCIS: New Orleans”) and The CW (“Batwoman” and “Supergirl”) as well as first-run episodes of ABC’s “The Rookie;” NBC’s “The Good Girls” and “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist” and FOX’s “Bob’s Burgers,” “Duncanville,” Family Guy” and “The Simpsons.” Additionally, “Mira Quién Baila All Stars” delivered more Adult 18-49 viewers than first-run episodes of NBC’s “The Good Girls” and “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist” as well as the entire original primetime line-up on The CW (“Batwoman” and “Supergirl”).
During its full-season two run, “Mira Quién Baila All Stars” averaged 1.6 million Total Viewers 2+, 588,000 Adults 18-49 and 252,000 Adults 18-34, making it the second highest-rated reality series on the Univision Network in 2019 to 2020 to-date among Adults 18-34.
