Univision Finishes Ahead of ABC for the Entire Week Among A18-34

Univision’s “Ringo” Outperforms Telemundo’s “El Sultan” for the Second Consecutive Week By Double-to-Triple Digit Margins Across All Key Demos

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of December 9, 2019 to December 15, 2019

  • Univision ranked as the fourth most-watched Broadcast network among Adults 18-34 for the entire week, ahead of ABC (+5% adv.) and The CW (+35% adv.). Univision also finished as the fifth most-watched Broadcast network for the entire week among Adults 18-49 during primetime, marking the twelfth consecutive week since the start of the current 2019/2020 season that it has outperformed The CW.
  • Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on five out of the seven nights last week among Adults 18-34.
  • For the third consecutive week, Univision ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-language network in primetime with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+32% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+27% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+25% adv.).
  • In its second week, “Ringo” averaged 1.4 million Total Viewers 2+, 535,000 Adults 18-49 and 245,000 Adults 18-34. “Ringo” outperformed ABC for the entire week by double-digit margins among Adults 18-34 (+27% adv.) head-to-head in the 8p.m. hour. “Ringo” delivered year-over-year audience growth to the network’s Monday through Friday 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. time slot among Adults 18-49 (+4%) and Adults 18-34 (+32%). The series also propelled Univision to the No. 1 Spanish-language network ranking for the second consecutive week during the weeknight 8 p.m. hour with double-to-triple digit audience advantages over Telemundo’s “El Sultan” among Total Viewers 2+ (+67% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+88% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+108% adv.).
  • “Ringo” averaged more Adult 18-34 viewers than first-run episodes of ABC’s “Bless This Mess,” “Black-ish,” “Schooled,” “Mixed-ish,” “Stumptown,” “The Goldbergs,” “Emergence,” “American Housewife” and “Fresh off the Boat;” CBS’s “The Neighborhood,” “Bob Loves Abishola,” “Carol’s Second Act,” “S.W.A.T.,” “Evil,” “Hawaii Five-0,” “Magnum P.I.,” “Mom,” “Seal Team,” “All Rise” and “Unicorn;” NBC’s “Blacklist,” “Superstore” and “Perfect Harmony;” FOX’s “The Moodys” as well as The CW’s “Black Lightning,” “Legacies,” “Nancy Drew,” “Riverdale” and “Supernatural.”
  • Univision’s “El Dragón” delivered 1.2 million Total Viewers 2+, 517,000 Adults 18-49 and 203,000 Adults 18-34 and positioned it among one of the top-rated broadcast networks in the weeknight 10 p.m. hour with audience advantages over CBS (+9% adv.), NBC (+29% adv.) and ABC (+20% adv.) among Adults 18-34. The series also out-delivered first-run episodes of ABC’s “Bless This Mess,” “Black-ish,” “Schooled,” “Mixed-ish,” “Stumptown,” “The Goldbergs,” “Emergence,” “American Housewife” and “Fresh off the Boat;” CBS’s “Carol’s Second Act” and “Evil;” NBC’s “Blacklist” and “Perfect Harmony;” FOX’s “The Moodys” as well as The CW’s “Black Lightning,” “Legacies,” “Nancy Drew,” “Riverdale” and “Supernatural” among Adults 18-34.
  • On Sunday night, Univision ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-Language network, outperforming Telemundo with double-to-triple digit audience advantages among Total Viewers 2+ (+107% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+115% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+67% adv.). The Univision network also grew its audience by double-digit margins versus the previous Sunday among Total Viewers 2+ (+15%) and Adults 18-49 (+30%).
  • The 7 p.m. telecast of the newsmagazine, “Aqui y Ahora” grew its audience week-to-week among Total Viewers 2+ (+22% to 1.2 million) and Adults 18-49 (+18% to 422,000).
  • Airing from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the special movie presentation of “Cine Especial: Elf” delivered more Total Viewers 2+ (+15% to 959,000), Adults 18-49 (+38% to 428,000) and Adults 18-34 (+8% to 138,000) to the network’s 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p. time slot versus the previous Sunday. The broadcast also out-delivered The CW by double-to-triple digit margins among Total Viewers 2+ (+97% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+210% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+214% adv.).
  • At 10 p.m., the airing of “Cronicas” drew more Total Viewers 2+ (+9% to 863,000) and Adults 18-49 (+28% to 349,000) to the time period compared to the prior Sunday.
