 “Mira Quién Baila All Stars” Finishes Sunday with a Flourish, Leads Univision to Top 5 Finish in Primetime Among Broadcast Networks for the Week

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of January 14, 2019 to January 20, 2019

  • On Saturday night, Univision captured the No. 3 broadcast network ranking, ahead of CBS, NBC, FOX and Telemundo for the entire night among Adults 18-34 with its live broadcast of “Sábado Fútbolero.” The back-to-back Liga MX soccer matches – America vs. Pachuca and Tigres UANL vs. Cruz Azul – attracted more Total Viewers 2+ (+18% to 1.0 million), Adults 18-49 (+16% to 512,000) and Adults 18-34 (+19% to 210,000) than the prior Saturday’s Liga MX matchups of Cruz Azul vs. Guadalajara (Chivas) and Necaxa vs. Unam. Both games were among the top-rated programs on broadcast television on Saturday night among Adults 18-34 with No. 7 “America vs. Pachuca” (216,000) and No. 8 “Tigres UANL vs. Cruz Azul” (205,000). The matches also drove Univision to a first-place finish on Spanish-language television for the entire night, outperforming Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+15% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+25% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+8% adv.).
  • Univision finished as the 5th most-watched broadcast network in primetime, out-delivering The CW for the 17th consecutive week since the start of the current 2018/2019 season with 1.4 million Total Viewers 2+, 556,000 Adults 18-49 and 219,000 Adults 18-34.
  • For the 3rd consecutive week, Univision ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-language network during primetime with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Adults 18-49 (+14% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+10% adv.) as well as for the 12th consecutive week among Total Viewers 2+ (+21% adv.).
  • Airing weeknights at 8 p.m., “Jesus” delivered 1.5 million Total Viewers 2+, 546,000 Adults 18-49 and 208,000 Adults 18-34 while also positioned Univision as the No. 1 Spanish-language network in the time period, outperforming Telemundo by double-digit margins among Total Viewers 2+ (+17% adv.). Adults 18-49 (+21% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+14% adv.).
  • For the week (10 p.m.), Univision’s “Amar A Muerte” attracted 1.4 million Total Viewers 2+ and out-delivered first-run episodes of CW’s “All American,” “Charmed,” “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” “Dynasty,” “Supergirl” and “Supernatural” among both Adults 18-49 (593,000) and Adults 18-34 (234,000). The supernatural series also outperformed Telemundo’s “Señora Acero V” head-to-head in the Monday through Friday 10pm hour by +42% among Total Viewers 2+, +32% among Adults 18-49 and +33% among Adults 18-34 for the 12th consecutive week.
  • On Sunday night (8 p.m.-10 p.m.), “Mira Quién Baila All Stars” averaged more Total Viewers 2+ (+66% to 1.8 million), Adults 18-49 (+46% to 650,000) and Adults 18-34 (+31% to 268,000) in the same time slot on Univision versus comparable Sunday last year. The dance reality competition series out-delivered CW’s entire original primetime line-up consisting of “Supergirl” and “Charmed” with doubled the Adult 18-49 and Adult 18-34 audience levels as well as delivered more Total Viewers 2+ (+25% adv.) and Adults 18-49 (+3% adv.) than Telemundo’s “La Voz” on this night. “Mira Quien Baila All Stars” also made Univision the No. 1 Spanish-language network for the third and eleventh consecutive Sunday night among Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers 2+, respectively.
