Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of November 26, 2018 to December 2, 2018

  • For the entire week, Univision finished as the fifth most-watched broadcast network in primetime, regardless of language, outdperforming The CW for the tenth consecutive week with week-to-week audience gains among Total Viewers 2+ (+22% to 1.5 million), Adults 18-49 (+23% to 632,000) and Adults 18-34 (+18% to 262,000).
  • Univision also ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-language network during primetime, outperforming Telemundo by double-digit margins among Total Viewers 2+ (+31% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+27% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+22% adv.). This marked the fifth consecutive week that Univision occupied the top-ranked Spanish-language network position with Total Viewers 2+.
  • From Monday through Friday, Univision delivered audience growth from the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (+22% to 1.5 million), Adults 18-49 (+28% to 624,000) and Adults 18-34 (+24% to 260,000), positioning it as the No. 1 Spanish-language network during weeknight primetime with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+19% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+22% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+27% adv.).
  • At 8 p.m., “Jesus” attracted more Total Viewers 2+ (+21% to 1.6 million), Adults 18-49 (+26% to 638,000) and Adults 18-34 (+30% to 256,000) than the prior week. The epic series also made Univision the No. 1 Spanish-language network with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo’s “La Sultana” among Total Viewers 2+ (+24% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+37% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+41% adv.).
  • At 9 p.m., “Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia” averaged its highest-rated weekly performance with week-to-week audience gains among Total Viewers 2+ (+10% to 1.5 million), Adults 18-49 (+13% to 616,000) and Adults 18-34 (+12% to 267,000). The dramedy also out-delivered Telemundo’s “Falsa Identidad” by +10% among Total Viewers 2+, +8% among Adults 18-49 and +18% among Adults 18-34.
  • At 10 p.m., “Amar A Muerte” increased its audience week-over-week among Total Viewers 2+ (+10% to 1.4 million) and Adults 18-49 (+12% to 619,000), marking the series’ highest weekly audience levels thus far with the key 18 to 49 demographic. The supernatural series also continued to outperform Telemundo’s “Señora Acero V” head-to-head for the fifth consecutive week among Total Viewers 2+ (+30% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+28% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+29% adv.).
  • Univision’s weeknight primetime series, “Jesus” (256,000), “Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia” (267,000) and “Amar A Muerte” (256,000) drew in more young Adult 18-34 viewers than first-run episodes of ABC’s “The Rookie” and “Splitting Up Together;” CBS’ “Blue Bloods,” “Macgyver” and “Murphy Brown;” NBC’s “Blindspot,” “I Feel Bad” and “Will & Grace;” FOX’s “Lethal Weapon” as well as CW’s “All American,” “Arrow,” “Black Lightning,” “Charmed,” “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” “Dynasty,” “Legacies,” “Supergirl” and “Supernatural.”
  • Averaging over half-a-million Adult 18-49 viewers, Univision’s “Jesus,” (638,000), “Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia” (616,000) and “Amar A Muerte” (619,000) outperformed first-run episodes of such English-language dramas as NBC’s “Blindspot” and CW’s “All American,” “Arrow,” “Black Lightning,” “Charmed,” “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” “Dynasty,” “Legacies,” “Riverdale,” “Supergirl” and “Supernatural.”
  • Univision also continued to deliver winning weekends, with “Sábado Futbolero” featuring the back-to-back Liga MX matchups of Cruz Azul vs. Queretaro and Santos Laguna vs. Monterrey, Univision allowing to capture the No. 1 Spanish-language network ranking on Saturday night with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+25% adv.) and Adults 18-49 (+20% adv.).
  • Preceded by Cruz Azul vs. Queretaro which drew in 981,000 Total Viewers 2+, 464,000 Adults 18-49 and 179,000 Adults 18-34, Santos Laguna vs. Monterrey retained and increased its overall lead-in audience by +12% with 1.1 million Total Viewers 2+ while also doubled the network’s audience levels in the 10pm to 12am time slot from the comparable Saturday in 2017 among both Adults 18-49 (549,000) and Adults 18-34 (232,000).
  • The sports event also positioned Univision among the top 5 broadcast networks for the entire night, outperforming NBC by +34% with the young Adult 18-34 demographic.
  • Sunday night’s two-hour finale of the eleventh installment of the re-imagined “Nuestra Belleza Latina” delivered its highest audience levels of the season with 2.2 million Total Viewers 2+, 900,000 Adults 18-49 and 389,000 Adults 18-34, making Univision one of the top four broadcast networks during the 8pm to 10pm time slot, out-delivering ABC, The CW and Telemundo.
  • With week-to-week audience gains, the reality competition series attracted more Adult 18-49 (+15%) and Adult 18-34 (+17%) viewers than the entire original line-up on The CW (“Supergirl” and “Charmed”) and first-run episodes of ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars: Juniors” and “Shark Tank” as well as FOX’s “Rel.”
  • “Nuestra Belleza Latina” also drove Univision to a first-place finish on Spanish-language television for the entire night in the last four consecutive Sundays with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+96% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+48% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+34% adv.).
  • Univision’s Sunday night news programs, “Aquí y Ahora” (593,000) and “Crónicas” (612,000) increased their Adult 18-49 audience levels by +18% and +15%, respectively compared to the prior Sunday, marking their highest-rated telecast in the current 2018/2019 season thus far. “Aquí y Ahora” also averaged its highest-rated telecast of the season with week-to-week audience gains among Total Viewers 2+ (+29% to 1.6 million) and Adults 18-34 (+31% to 232,000) while “Crónicas” has outperformed Telemundo’s “Don Francisco Te Invita” during the 10pm hour for the ninth consecutive Sunday among both Total Viewers 2+ (+59% adv.) and Adults 18-49 (+44% adv.).
