MIAMI — APRIL 13, 2023 — TelevisaUnivision, the world’s leading Spanish language media and content company, has appointed Claudia Puig to the newly created position of Senior Vice President for State Government Affairs & Political Partner Solutions. Based in Miami, she will directly report to Steve Haro, Executive Vice President, Government Affairs.
In this strategic role, Puig will build and lead state government relations efforts in support of TelevisaUnivision’s legislative, regulatory, and policy goals and priorities. She will also serve as the principal liaison between the company’s Office of Government Affairs and the political advertising sales team.
“Claudia’s media industry knowledge, coupled with her extensive and longstanding political connections in Florida and beyond, will be key to our company’s presence, impact, and support of the Hispanic community,” said Haro. “Claudia is an exemplary leader, uniquely adept at understanding the roles of government in a business enterprise. I am excited to have her on the team.”
Puig is a highly recognized and respected executive who has a 26-year career with Univision. Most recently, in her role as President and General Manager of Univision Miami, she has been a very active member of the business and political community. She is also a long-serving member of the Florida Association of Broadcasters and a strong participant in the annual ‘Call-On-Congress’ that meets with our House and Senate members in Washington DC every March.
