MIAMI – JANUARY 30, 2020 – With a nod to the theme “The Globalization of Latin Music,” Univision announced today the first music stars, who themselves represent diverse genres, confirmed to perform in Premio Lo Nuestro 2020. The celebration of Latin Music will air Live on Univision, February 20, at 7p.m. ET/PT (6p.m. CT), from Miami’s AmericanAirlines Arena.
Scheduled to perform on this 32nd edition of the longest-running awards show on Spanish-language TV are:
- Spanish singer and three-time PLN winner David Bisbal, performing music off his new album En Tus Planes
- Argentinian rapper, singer, and composer Cazzu, nominated for New Female Artist, making her first appearance on PLN
- American born recording artist Chiquis, nominated for Social Artist of the Year and making her return to the PLN stage with a new single
- Multi-national singing group and four-time PLN winners CNCO, returning with 2 nominations and their TV world premiere of their single “Pegao”, along with this year’s nominee Manuel Turizo. This will be Turizo’s first time participating in PLN.
- U.S. born Regional Mexican singer and 12-time PLN winner Gerardo Ortiz, will debut his new single “Otra Borrachera.”
- Mexican band and this year’s 2nd most nominated Reik, to perform a hit single from their nominated album Ahora.
- Dominican-American Bachata sensation Prince Royce, winner of 19 previous PLN awards, will feature the premiere of “Trampa” from his soon-to-be-released album Alter Ego.
- Mexican superstar Thalía, host of the show and nominee for Social Artist of the Year, will also feature a TV world premiere of her new single “Ya Tu Me Conoces.”
- Puerto Rican Reggaeton icon and this year’s most nominated artist (12) Daddy Yankee, will perform his latest hit single “Que Tire Pa’Lante.”
This year’s “Premio Lo Nuestro” is hosted, for the first time ever, by two global ambassadors and superstars of Latin music, Pitbull and Thalía, alongside one of Univision’s most beloved talents, Alejandra Espinoza. The show will be filled with exclusive musical moments recognizing the global power of Urban Latin music, the elegance of the Mariachi sound, and will celebrate the return of the Latin Power Ballad. There will be world and TV premieres as PLN continues to be a platform for tomorrows hits and today’s rising artists.
Premio Lo Nuestro’s nominations honor airplay on Uforia radio during the eligibility period of Jan. 1 through Oct. 31, 2019. The winners have been selected by the fans during the voting period on PremioLoNuestro.com.

MIAMI –30 DE ENERO DE 2020– Siguiendo el tema “la globalización de la música latina”, Univision anunció hoy a las primeras estrellas musicales, que representan diversos géneros, confirmadas para presentarse en Premio Lo Nuestro 2020. La celebración de la música latina se trasmitirá en vivo por Univision el 20 de febrero a las 7p.m. Este/Pacífico (6p.m. Centro), desde AmericanAirlines Arena en Miami.
Están programados a presentarse en la 32a edición del programa de premiación de más larga trayectoria en la televisión en español:
- El cantante español David Bisbal, ganador de PLN en tres ocasiones, quien ofrecerá música de su nuevo álbum, En tus planes.
- La rapera, cantante y compositora argentina Cazzu, nominada a Artista Revelación Femenina, quien se presentará en PLN por primera vez.
- La artista estadounidense Chiquis, nominada a Artista Social del Año, regresará al escenario de PLN con una nueva canción.
- El grupo CNCO, integrado por cantantes de diferentes países, ganador de cuatro PLN, regresará con dos nominaciones y el estreno mundial en televisión de su sencillo “Pegao”, junto con Manuel Turizo, que está nominado este año. Será la primera vez que Turizo participa en PLN.
- El cantante estadounidense de música regional mexicana Gerardo Ortiz, ganador de 12 PLN, estrenará su nueva canción “Otra borrachera”.
- La banda mexicana Reik, que ocupa segunda en la lista de más nominados este año, interpretará un éxito de su álbum Ahora, que está nominado.
- La sensación dominicana-estadounidense de la bachata Prince Royce, ganador de 19 PLN en el pasado, ofrecerá el estreno de “Trampa” del álbum Alter Ego que sacará pronto.
- La superestrella mexicana Thalía, conductora del show y nominada a Artista Social del Año, también estrenará en la televisión mundial su nueva canción “Ya tú me conoces”.
- El ídolo puertorriqueño del reguetón Daddy Yankee, el artista con más nominaciones (12) este año, cantará su más reciente éxito, “Que tire pa’lante”.
Por primera vez, conducirán “Premio Lo Nuestro” dos embajadores internacionales y superestrellas de la música latina, Pitbull y Thalía, junto con una de las más populares personalidades de Univision, Alejandra Espinoza. El show estará lleno de exclusivos momentos musicales que confirmarán el poder mundial de la música latina urbana y la elegancia del sonido mariachi, además de celebrar el retorno de las baladas latinas. Habrá estrenos mundiales y en televisión, ya que PLN sigue siendo una plataforma para los éxitos de mañana y los artistas ascendentes de hoy.
