WHAT: The world premiere of Univision’s latest original series “El Dragon” starring Sebastian Rulli and Renata Notni on Monday, September 30, at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT (9:00 p.m. CT).
Written by renowned author Arturo Perez-Reverte, “El Dragón” is a fast-paced, action-packed saga of epic proportions. This highly stylized production was shot on location in Tokyo, Madrid, Miami, and in various cities in Mexico with an expansive gallery of richly drawn international characters. This is the story of Miguel Garza (Sebastian Rulli), a man caught between two worlds, both geographically as well as morally. One centers on his childhood in Mexico, marked by the untimely murder of his parents and the family business he is destined to inherit. The other is a world of culture and sophistication in Japan, where he is sent by his grandfather and trained in martial arts while also becoming a successful financier. 20 years later, the handsome and educated young man is called back to Mexico to save the family “business.” Back in his hometown, he meets Adela (Renata Notni), a young taxi driver who wins Miguel’s heart. Miguel must draw on both worlds if he wants to protect his family and save his soul.
The series will have subtitles available in CC3 for English-speaking audiences interested in viewing.

Escrita por el renombrado autor Arturo Pérez-Reverte, “El Dragón” es una saga rápida, repleta de acción y de proporciones épicas. Esta producción muy estilizada se filmó en Tokio, Madrid, Miami y varias ciudades de México con un grupo extenso de personajes internacionales con mucha dimensión. Es la historia de Miguel Garza (Sebastián Rulli), quien está atrapado entre dos mundos, tanto en términos geográficos como morales. Uno de ellos se centra en su infancia en México, marcada por la muerte prematura de sus padres y el negocio familiar que está destinado a heredar. El otro se encuentra en Japón, un mundo culto y sofisticado al que su abuelo lo envía, donde aprende artes marciales y se vuelve un financista exitoso. Veinte años más tarde, se manda llamar de regreso a México al apuesto e ilustrado joven para que salve el “negocio” familiar. Cuando Miguel regresa, conoce a Adela (Renata Notni), una joven taxista que lo conquista. Miguel debe recurrir a ambos mundos para proteger a su familia y salvar su alma.
La serie tendrá subtítulos, disponibles en CC3, para televidentes que hablan inglés y están interesados en verla.
