MIAMI – September 3, 2026 – TelevisaUnivision announced today “GIGANTES con Don Francisco,” a new special program marking the legendary host’s highly anticipated return, with a series of special programs featuring interviews, surprises, nostalgia and unforgettable reunions that will bring Hispanic families together to celebrate the lives and careers of some of the most important Latin artists, while reliving the moments that shaped generations, entertained and brought millions of families together.
“GIGANTES con Don Francisco” will premiere in October on Univision. The program will also be available on ViX, with full episodes available the day after the television broadcast, along with content and highlights across Univision’s social media and digital platforms.
For more than five decades, Don Francisco defined Spanish-language television through the groundbreaking success of “Sábado Gigante,” the iconic variety show that became a cultural phenomenon in the United States and Latin America. As one of the most influential figures in Hispanic media, he created a format that brought generations of viewers together and left a lasting mark on popular culture.
“Returning to Univision brings a sense of emotion and nostalgia, but above all, it is an opportunity to reconnect with the audience that accompanied us for so many years and with many of the great artists who were part of our history. It will be a reunion between what we experienced together and who we are today. I am very happy to reconnect with you,” said Don Francisco.
Now, Don Francisco returns to the network where he built his legacy with a refreshed format that will bring together some of the most influential Latin personalities for intimate and meaningful conversations. Each episode will feature in-depth interviews, live accompaniment from a musical band, surprises and emotional reunions with guests’ family members, friends and colleagues, along with a look back at memorable moments from their careers and the chance to win cash prizes and even a car.
Combining nostalgia with content designed for today’s audiences, the series will have the scale and relevance of a major television event while preserving the warmth, humor and personal connection that have defined Don Francisco’s career for decades. Each episode will feature in-depth conversations exploring the guests’ personal journeys, defining moments, and reflections on identity, legacy, and cultural impact. MIAMI – 3 de septiembre de 2026 – TelevisaUnivision anunció hoy “GIGANTES con Don Francisco”, el nuevo programa especial que marca el gran regreso del legendario presentador, con una serie de programas especiales de entrevistas, sorpresas, nostalgia y reencuentros inolvidables, reunirán a la familia Hispana para hablar de la vida y trayectoria de los artistas latinos más importantes, reviviendo los momentos que marcaron generaciones, divirtieron y unieron a millones de familias.
“GIGANTES con Don Francisco” se estrenará en octubre por Univision. El programa también estará disponible en ViX, con los episodios completos disponibles al día siguiente de su transmisión, además de contenido y momentos destacados a través de las redes sociales y plataformas digitales de Univision.
Durante más de cinco décadas, Don Francisco definió la televisión en español gracias al éxito revolucionario de “Sábado Gigante”, el icónico programa de variedades que se convirtió en un fenómeno cultural en Estados Unidos y América Latina. Como una de las figuras más influyentes de los medios hispanos, creó un formato que unió a generaciones de televidentes y dejó una huella duradera en la cultura popular.

Combinando nostalgia con un contenido diseñado para las audiencias de hoy, la serie tendrá la escala y la relevancia de un gran evento televisivo, con la calidez, el humor y la cercanía que han definido la trayectoria de Don Francisco durante décadas.
