MIAMI – October 22, 2025 – Univision is set to premiere the highly anticipated dramedy “Monteverde” on Monday, November 3, at 10 p.m. ET/ 9 p.m. CT. The new telenovela, starring África Zavala and Gabriel Soto, will also be available for streaming on ViX the following day for catch-up viewing.
This compelling series introduces the audience to the picturesque town of Monteverde, where time seems to stand still until a truck full of women arrives, led by a nun, signaling the start of a controversial repopulation effort. The town’s tranquil facade shatters as secrets and conflicts emerge, centered on Carolina Robles (África Zavala), a mother on the run from her corrupt husband. Fleeing fraud charges after being set up by her husband, Carolina adopts the identity of her twin sister, a nun, and seeks refuge in Monteverde. Her plan to stay hidden is immediately complicated when she meets the hardened rancher, Óscar León (Gabriel Soto), who’s closed off to love after a painful past with a woman. Their undeniable connection blossoms into a forbidden romance, constantly threatened by the lie of her identity and the constant danger posed by her husband, who has hired a detective to track her down.
The fabric of Monteverde is further woven with intense storylines that include the forbidden love between Óscar’s son, Franco, and the newly arrived Lucía; the shocking discovery of a secret half-brother between best friends; and a desperate search for biological parents that uncovers decades of infidelity and betrayal. From a manipulative mother trying to sabotage her daughter’s marriage to an unlikely romance between a truck driver and a shy ranch hand, the residents of Monteverde face their past and the challenges of the present. “Monteverde” is an emotional journey exploring how love, truth, and redemption find a way to emerge, even when they lead to painful changes that alter lives forever.

Esta apasionante serie lleva a la audiencia a el pintoresco pueblo de Monteverde, donde el tiempo parece haberse detenido hasta que llega un camión lleno de mujeres, lideradas por una monja, que marca el inicio de un polémico esfuerzo de repoblación. La fachada de tranquilidad del pueblo se rompe cuando surgen secretos y conflictos, centrados en Carolina Robles (África Zavala), una madre que huye de su corrupto esposo. Huyendo de cargos de fraude tras ser incriminada por su marido, Carolina adopta la identidad de su hermana gemela, una monja, y busca refugio en Monteverde. Su plan de permanecer oculta se complica de inmediato cuando conoce al recio ranchero, Óscar León (Gabriel Soto), quien se ha cerrado al amor tras un doloroso pasado con una mujer.
