MIAMI –NOVEMBER 16, 2023– ViX, the world’s leading Spanish-language streaming service, announced today that EL SABOR DE LA NAVIDAD, its new original movie produced by Salma Hayek Pinault’s Ventanarosa Productions, is now available exclusively on the service’s premium plan.
Mariana Treviño (“A Man Called Otto”, “La casa de las flores” [The House of Flowers]), Andrés Almeida (“Y tu mamá también” [And Your Mother Too], “Ana”, “The Three Wise Kings vs. Santa”), Armando Hernández (“Sangre de mi sangre” [Blood of My Blood], “Amar te duele” [Love Hurts]), Juan Carlos Medellín (“Whiskey Cavellier”, “El colapso” [The collapse]), Mónica Dionne (“The Arrival”, “Hasta el viento tiene miedo” [Even the Wind Is Afraid]) and Marco Treviño (“Narcos: México”, “Danyka”) star in the Christmas romantic comedy.
EL SABOR DE LA NAVIDAD presents three parallel stories revolving around the celebration of Christmas in Mexico City, which intertwine at the end of the film. In the first, an estranged daughter seeks reconciliation with her family. In the second, two friends test their friendship by working as competing Santa Clauses in Alameda Central. In the third, a lonely chef who prepares Christmas dinners for other families confronts her feelings for her assistant in the kitchen.
Produced by Salma Hayek Pinault and José “Pepe” Támez under the Ventanarosa Productions brand with Erica Sánchez of Lemon Studios, the film was directed by Alejandro Lozano and written by Támez.
EL SABOR DE LA NAVIDAD is the second original title to premiere on ViX under the first-look agreement with Ventanarosa Productions to produce Spanish-language films exclusively for the streaming service.

EL SABOR DE LA NAVIDAD presenta tres historias paralelas que giran en torno a la celebración de la Navidad en Ciudad de México, y que se entrelazan al final de la película. En la primera, una hija distanciada busca reconciliación con su familia. En la segunda, dos amigos ponen a prueba su amistad al trabajar compitiendo como Santa Clauses en la Alameda Central. En la tercera, una solitaria chef que prepara cenas Navideñas para otras familias confronta sus sentimientos hacia su ayudante en la cocina.
Producida por Salma Hayek Pinault y José “Pepe” Támez bajo la marca de Ventanarosa Productions con Erica Sánchez de Lemon Studios, la película fue dirigida por Alejandro Lozano y escrita por Támez.
