LOS ANGELES – MARCH 8, 2023 – Univision announced the promotion of Veronika Moroian to President and General Manager of Univision Los Angeles. In this role, Moroian will be responsible for overseeing, in the Los Angeles region, the sales, news, community affairs, operations technology, marketing and promotions departments.
Prior to assuming her new position, Moroian served as President and General Manager for Univision stations in Philadelphia and Washington D.C. and, before that, as station Manager of Univision New York WXTV. During her tenure, she drove these organizational transformations, strengthened their respective news brands at the local level, and delivered solid revenue growth.
“We are thrilled to have Veronika lead the Los Angeles market, where we have the largest concentration of Hispanic audiences reached through our two TV stations, four radio stations, and our digital, social media and streaming platforms,” said Diane Kniowski, Chief Local Media Officer, TelevisaUnivision. “The growth of our brands in Los Angeles is critical to the success of our local division at TelevisaUnivision in the U.S. and Veronika is the right person to lead this charge.”

A television industry veteran, Moroian joined Univision 20 years ago and started her career in Distribution with Affiliate Relations in Los Angeles. Then, she transitioned to sales as Account Executive with KMEX, where she worked for a few years before joining the sales team in Chicago and New York in leadership positions overseeing the business development efforts.
Moroian was born in Armenia and raised in Argentina, moved to Los Angeles in 2001 and holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

VERÓNIKA MOROIAN ASCENDIDA A PRESIDENT Y GENERAL MANAGER DE UNIVISION LOS ANGELES
LOS ÁNGELES – 8 DE MARZO DE 2023 – Univision Los Ángeles anunció el ascenso de Verónika Moroian a President y General Manager de Univision Los Ángeles. En este cargo, Moroian supervisará los departamentos de ventas, noticias, relaciones con la comunidad, operaciones, tecnología, y promoción y marketing.
Antes de asumir su nuevo puesto, Moroian se desempeñó como President y General Manager de las estaciones de Univision en Filadelfia y Washington D.C. y previamente, como gerente de estación de New York WXTV de Univision. Durante los años que ocupó esos cargos, impulsó numerosas transformaciones organizativas, fortaleció las respectivas marcas de noticias a nivel local y generó un sólido crecimiento de los ingresos.

Moroian es una veterana de la industria de televisión. Se unió a Univision hace 20 años y comenzó su carrera en la división de distribución como Affiliate Relations en Los Ángeles. Luego hizo la transición a ventas como ejecutiva de cuentas en KMEX, donde trabajó durante algunos años antes de unirse al equipo de ventas en Chicago y Nueva York en puestos de liderazgo, supervisando los esfuerzos de desarrollo comercial.
Moroian nació en Armenia y creció en Argentina. Se mudó a Los Ángeles en 2001 y tiene un MBA de la Escuela de Administración Anderson de la UCLA.
