MIAMI, FL. – MARCH 6, 2023 – Today, TelevisaUnivision announced that the 8th annual LATIN AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS (LATIN AMAs) are set to take place Thursday, April 20 at 7/6c live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The main show and pre-show NOCHE DE ESTRELLAS will broadcast on Univision, UNIMÁS, and Galavisión.
Under the theme “Somos Un Movimiento” (We Are a Movement), the popular award show, which celebrates outstanding achievements in Latin music, will go beyond a stand-alone event this year. Leading up to the LATIN AMAs, audiences and music fans will be able to enjoy a series of one-hour TV specials on UNIMÁS starting with LATIN AMAs: PASE VIP on March 7 at 7/6c, followed by LATIN AMAs: NOMINACIONES on March 13 at 6/5c, and LATIN AMAs: LEGACY on April 4 at 7/6c.
Hosted by Clarissa Molina, LATIN AMAs: PASE VIP will provide an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience where cameras follow powerhouses Camilo, Christian Nodal, Grupo Firme, Ozuna, and TINI on their latest tours: De Adentro Pa Afuera Tour, Forajido Tour, Enfiestados y Amanecidos Tour, Ozutochi Tour, and Tini Tour, respectively. This special will feature exclusive musical performances from each tour, and a series of interviews that will give viewers a greater understanding of how vital these tours are for artists to connect with their fans around the globe.
LATIN AMAs: NOMINACIONES will air live on UNIMÁS exclusively announcing nominations and highlighting the reactions of the nominees. NOMINACIONES will be hosted by beloved UNIMÁS personalities Migbelis Castellanos, Jose Figueroa, and Arana Lemus featuring Julián Gil as special guest. Lastly, LATIN AMAs: LEGACY, which will also be hosted by Clarissa Molina, will celebrate some of Latin music’s biggest icons, and excite fans with unique content, and can’t miss musical performances.
Last year, TelevisaUnivision acquired the rights from dick clark productions to the LATIN AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS (Latin AMAs), bolstering the company’s position as “The Home of Latin Music.” The LATIN AMAs will celebrate Latin music’s finest, as well as play tribute to today’s most influential and iconic Latin artists, as voted by the fans in the tradition of the American Music Awards, the world’s largest fan-voted award show.
