Univision’s Finale of “Mi Fortuna Es Amarte” Reaches 2.1 Million Total Viewers 2+

Finale Positioned Univision as the No. 1 Network on All of Television, Regardless of Language, in the 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. Hour Among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34   

MIAMI – JULY 13, 2022 — Last Friday night’s finale of Univision’s star-studded telenovela and original production by TelevisaUnivision, “Mi Fortuna es Amarte” (My Fortune is To Love You), reached 2.1 million Total Viewers 2+, who tuned to allor part of the one-hour telecast from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET/PT and made Univision the No. 1 network on all of television, regardless of language among Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49. The finale of “Mi Fortuna es Amarte” also positioned Univision as the No. 1 network on all of television, regardless of language, for the entire night (8 p.m. to 11 p.m.) among Adults 18-34 and the No. 2 network ahead of ABC, CBS, NBC, The CW, and all cable networks with Adults 18-49.

The finale of “Mi Fortuna es Amarte”:

  • Averaged 1.8 million Total Viewers 2+, 686,000 Adults 18-49 and 252,000 Adults 18-34
  • Increased its audience by double-digits in the last half-hour compared to the first half-hour among Total Viewers 2+ (+16%), Adults 18-49 (+21%) and Adults 18-34 (+26%).
  • Was the No, 1 program on all of television during primetime among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
  • Delivered double-digit audience growth versus its prior four Friday performance and comparable night in 2021 among Total Viewers 2+ (+22%; +25%) and Adults 18-49 (+25%; +16%).
  • Positioned Univision as the fifth largest broadcast network, ahead of The CW in the 9 p.m. hour and for the entire night among Total Viewers 2+.
  • Made Univision the No. 1 Spanish-language network in the 9 p.m. hour and for entire night with double-to-triple digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

In its entire run, “Mi Fortuna es Amarte” reached 18.2 million Total Viewers 2+ and delivered more Total Viewers 2+ (+7% to 1.6 million), Adults 18-49 (+14% to 641,000) and Adults 18-34 (+17% to 264,000) to the network’s weeknight 9 p.m. hour from the comparable dates last year. Additionally, “Mi Fortuna es Amarte” positioned Univision as the No. 1 Spanish-language network in the weeknight 9 p.m. hour with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+46% advantage), Adults 18-49 (+70% advantage) and Adults 18-34 (+76% advantage).

In the current 2021/2022 season, “Mi Fortuna es Amarte” ranks among the top 5 most-watched primetime dramas on all of television, regardless of language among U.S. Hispanic Adults 18-49, with No. 1 “Si Nos Dejan,” No. 2 “La Desalmada,” No. 3 “Vencer el Pasado,” No. 4 “Madre” and No. 5 “Mi Fortuna es Amarte.”

  • Outperformed Telemundo’s Amor Valiente in 10 of the 11 LPM markets: Los Angeles, New York, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, Phoenix, San Francisco, Sacramento, Philadelphia and Atlanta among Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54.
